Ok this is just a bit of fun there have been a lot of Gods in the history of mankind and some would seem more powerful than others. If you had to bet on a battle of the Gods who would you put you money on?

The current list is ..

1. Christianity 2.1 billion
2. Islam 1.3 billion
3. Secular/Irreligious/Agnostic/Atheist 1.1 billion
4. Hinduism 900 million
5. Chinese traditional religion 394 million
6. Buddhism 376 million (see also buddhism by country)
7. Primal indigenous 300 million
8. African traditional and diasporic 100 million
9. Sikhism 23 million
10. Juche 19 million
11. Spiritism 15 million
12. Judaism 14 million
13. Bahá'í Faith 7 million
14. Jainism 4.2 million
15. Shinto 4 million
16. Cao Dai 4 million
17. Zoroastrianism 2.6 million
18. Tenrikyo 2 million
19. Neopaganism 1 million
20. Unitarian Universalism 800,000
21. Rastafari movement 600,000

But you can choose any known god throughout history.
List out a few of their major strengths if you like. Who's the daddy ?

Vishnu with the extra arms looks quite handy + he has a special weapon like a nuclear bomb.

Go figure, the god with 8 arms looks handy. Nice pun there, you get a star for that.

I'd have to say the Greek and Roman gods. The fact of their numbers, and strength of their powers makes me lean toward them.
Don't forget the Norse though, they WERE born fighters.

IMMORTAL KOMBAT!!!

If fictional/literary dieties work too. I'd go with Mask a trickster diety or Mystra for sheer power.

But if only patheons that people have believed in were allowed I would have to go with another Trickster Diety (Norse) Loki because guile properly executed will always trump brute strength.

REALLY if you gonna break it down, even tho I am an atheist, your gonna have to give it to the biblical God, cause he is.......GOD....like the ultimate god, all powerfull, all knowing, all capable. But for coolness, i'm gonna go with the Ancient Egyptian Gods, don't mess with Ra.

i realized i was an aethist, when i realized i have more compassion then the most of these holy "gods" that were invented by man. religions do not pass the critical thinking test.

Look at this with a "if this were a comic book" attitude and I think we shall get good answers.

have to give it to the biblical God,

this is funny, to see an athiest come up w/ right answer. i agree,"Moses god, is God". after being left in total ruin. Ramses finally comes to terms.
i mean this guy parted the Red sea, not" the reed sea". all powerful,
all knowing." I AM that I AM therefore tell them, I AM has sent thee."
like , it's not going to matter who you say has sent you dummy. they don't
deserve to know my name. Pharoh knew no fear.Knowing Gods name
wouldn't change that. Knowing Gods wrath did.
and quite the diefied smarty pants too.

nice pic....

In honor of this post, I will be playing many games of Age of Mythology today.....GREAT Game BTW.....

If everything is a part of everything in this existence, then all those gods are technically a part of the same conscience.....
