We are all hurting right now because of the failure of the last 8 years... but don't worry, the economy is improving. Slowly but surely. Look at you 401k; that is my barometer.

Sure Bush ran up the deficit, when you run a war to keep us safe, Democrats got to have their cut to make it happen.

Bush ran up the debt and Obama promptly quadrupled it.

The economy is improved and we only spent 10% of the bailout money, which means it was going to improve anyway. The other 90% should be canceled right now.

Ex Gov. Palin has become a parody of herself.

Anyone that appreciates a cut and run loser deserves what they get.

The GOP seriously needs to field a canidate with some ideas not some MILF that only knows how to criticize the opposition.

We need ideas not "you becha"

Absolutely 100% correct, whaaaa, and well put.

We need intellectual competence, if not downright intellectual distinction.

I find it interesting that anyone actually finds Sarah Palin to be of political significance at this late date.

Anyone who uses the term 'evil' should be taken out of the gene pool, preferably bludgeoned to death.

What I mean is, the people in office currently rely on dozens of "Czars", hundreds of "experts", and make disastrous decisions by committee. (this is a shared trait among ALL of our elected leaders)

Do you really think Palin could do worse? Or is this really about ideology?

Your statements are contradictions my friend, and it seems to me that you are screaming about all of us being sheep, while you merely follow the wolf that "Baaaaaaaahhh's" the loudest.

I've seen this recurring logic being used by almost everyone who tries to defend Palin...

"Palin could do worse?"

"is Obama any better?"

or something pathetic a long the lines of...

"Maybe she couldn't understand half of what was written in a bill, but I bet she'd at least make an attempt to read it."

It's that sort of idiotic logic that continues to destroy America.
We're talking about the highest seat in office for Christ sakes, not some beauty pageant.

Just because she 'might' do a better job than the current administration or anyone else running... it doesn't mean she's the acceptable choice.

Just because the priorities of the candidates aren't in order, does not mean you have to sink to their level. If they aren't just about perfect in every way for the job, than they shouldn't even be considered for a second. Doesn't matter if they are the "lesser of two evils"... don't stand for that crap, it's time to stop the bar from falling and begin actually raising the standards.

It's not about left vs right -- it's about which individual meets the absolute full potential to fulfill the countries requirements (based on the constitution).

Last election Ron Paul was really the only one that reached the highest/acceptable standards. Next election if not Ron, his son Rand Paul may be running... these are the sorts of people we should be following/supporting -- they have finally raised the standards. We have to do everything in our power to make this new standard recognized and non-compromised. If someone wants a chance in hell to get elected, they'll need to at the very least meet this new standard, if not raise it.

That is how real, positive progress is made.

Get your priorities in order!

all i can say to your hard words is this. ATLEAST SHE HAS A SPINE AND IS STANDING UP FOR UNJUST LAWS trying to be passed. sure dont see a whole lot of other people grabbing there manhood and doing anything about it. come to think about it what exactly are you doing about it, besides throwing anger and hate at people that are trying to make a differnece

owe maybe i am taking it all wrong maybe you are a obama cocktail drinker!!!

I am pretty sure what king is saying...no matter wich "party" you like, or vote for...they are all the same- being run by shadow government-- puppets...and you are arguing over and cheering about non- issues, that in the long run will not help anyone. we need to wake up- get rid of the corrupt system we are using now, get back to the constitution and more importantly to me anyway, is realise we are all in this together...we all should be on the same side. Black, white, red, yellow, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, American, Indian, Eastern, Western...WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME PLANET. We need to come together as a race, and make a change for the better of HUMAN KIND! just my opinon, and I dont really know how to set this in motion, but this is what I think king is trying to convey! =)) peace!

This is what people don't understand. It's not that people don't want health care reform, it's that we don't want a dictatorial health care system that tells people how to live, rations health care, and puts the elderly at the bottom of the priority list. Secondly, we can't afford this program. What part of we're in debt do you people not get? Do you know what debt has historically done to societies like ours? I recommend you people that blindly support this crap to do a little bit of reading on the matter.

Get your facts right. Obama got a 1.3 trillion dollars deficit from the Republicans (Bush and the rest). This year (nothing to celebrate) it'll be 1 trillion. Yes, 10 % percent or so was spent already and the economy is turning, BUT mainly because of that, not from the "free market". The "free market" is bankrupt (or it was, until we bailed them). What's fueling the economy right now is BAILOUT money, like it or not. The banking system was in a state of collapse. The bailout (started by Bush, I give him credit, and continued by Obama) saved the economy from total chaos. You can't have both ways. Look, I couldn't care less who saves the economy, liberals of right-wingers, i just look at my portfolio and see in what direction is going. In December last year it was all RED. Today, there are sings of BLUE, but not there yet. Yes, Obama is doing the right things and the Republicans need to admit of the failures that started from the Reagan years. It wasn't just the deficits, it was deregulation and turning Wall-Street into a casino.

Oh, and Bush had to spend on trillion to keep us safe? Safe from who? A bankrupt third world country? You know, one thing about americans, we live in constant fear, and the past regime used that to the max. If it's not Saddam, who used to be a nice guy according to Reagan, and whom we armed to the teeth to kill 1 million iranians (I wonder why they hate our guts, hmmmmm), it's some other backward retard in the middle east. Oh yeah, he kept us safe by invading Iraq. No wonder people like Palin has followers. No ofense, you're probably a nice guy.

Blame Bush is soooo yesterday.

For accuracy...

www.bloomberg.com...

May 11 (Bloomberg) -- The government is piling up larger deficits than estimated in February as a recession in its 17th month reduces tax collections and raises the cost of stabilizing the economy more than forecast.

President Barack Obama’s administration, in the third and final installment of a budget rollout, today raised its estimate of the deficit this year to a record $1.84 trillion, up 5 percent from the February estimate, and to $1.26 trillion next year, up 7.4 percent. The administration also projected next year’s budget will end up at $3.59 trillion, compared with the $3.55 trillion it estimated previously.

The White House Office of Management and Budget said its revised estimate of tax collections from individuals and corporations is less than previously forecast and that the cost of bank bailouts and “economic stabilizers,” such as food stamps and unemployment benefits, is higher.

“The increase in the deficit is an extraordinary but necessary response to an inherited crisis,” the budget documents say. “It is also temporary.”

The deficit would be 12.9 percent of the economy, the largest since 1945, and would drop to 8.5 percent next year, the budget office said.

The democrats are terrified of Sarah.
She connects with the American people.
The more the libs attack her, the more i think that she's the best
candidate in 2012. In the mean time she can help raise money for
the election in 2010. Lets win back the House and Senate and then
throw out Obama.
He is making it easy for us.
He is trying to throw old people under the bus with ObamaCare.
Maybe he forgot. Old people vote!

Obama connected with the people...he won the election.

She's attacked because it's fun.

It's like pouring salt on a slug and watching it shrivel up, or being a kid and poking a nearly dead animal with a stick.

I've thought about this long and hard as to why Palin is so hated. The right-wingers on this board constantly complain that you can never discuss Palin's ideas of policies because a wall of hatred directed at her arises everytime you try. And you know what? They're right. You can't have an intelligent conversation in modern American about Ex-Gov Palin. After thinking about this phenomonom I think I've come up with the reason. After the horrifying god forsake eight years we were subjected to of the worst administration in history, people hate the Republicans but most of all people hate George Bush. Unfortuantely the republicans under-value the intelligence of Americans (which is usually why the bottom end of the spectrum are republicans) by trying to push Palin the exact same way they pushed Bush. A down to earth normal person who may come off like an idiot but someone you'd want to have a beer with. However, after the nightmare of the last eight years, Americans resent that packaging. There's a ten percent demographic that's still brain dead enough to be plugged into whatever the hype machine may push but the numbers that decide election aren't buying anymore. What makes me laugh is just how far gone the Republicans are and how much they disrespect the core of the contingency's intelligence with pandering to their demographic. Palin is the symbol of all this, and thus why she's so hated.

And we are learning it is far more important to pay attention to what they actually do, not how convincingly they can say what they will do.
