Government now monitoring Google search phrases and keywords

I saw this on CNN the other day

www.politico.com...

and thought this was very interesting. It made me start wondering what other keyword phrases they are monitoring and if that was as far as they went with the monitoring or if they are flagging IP's of people when they search certain phrases or Youtubes etc.

Wow that must be a ton of things to monitor.

Maybe everybody should google search something suspicious at the same time and fry their system.

Sooooooolike if we google Operation Garden Plot, then the men in black will come for us or what? maybe a persons just curious about things like prison camps in america and wonders what they might be used for. OMG I have to look out the window now.....be right back.

As if they haven't been doing this for ages. Now they're just admitting it under pressure.

Yep, its been going on since Google was invented.

They have been watching everything since at least the 60's , so when the Internet came out for civilians, it only follows that they were monitoring that as well.

No surprise there. In fact, the echelon keywords are what first brought be to ATS a while back.

I have friends who swear by Scroogle.

Everyone breathe slowly, count to 10 and get your blood pressure under control. All that they did was use a tool available to anyone called Google Trend. It is not some secret government group watching us no matter how much you want to believe so.

Why is every mundane act of no consequence morphed into some sort of dark act or conspiracy?
