Not even the click I mentioned earlier. You were right about that much, it is the horse itself.

As far as the laughter goes, I don't hear that either.
I did hear some laughter in the clip unedited at all, but I think it was the television.

Still a good video.

I know for a fact that I heard a click or knock right before the horse moved yesterday because I played it over and over about 20-times to try to determine what the click came from. Now, it seems like the audio drops out for a split second. This happens around the 2:11-2:12 point.

Can anyone take a look at the wave form to see if there's an appearance of some kind of edit?

Exactly. And while I know Im probably sounding redundant at this point, thats the very reason I keep stressing the back ground sounds.

I consider myself fairly open-minded and also fairly sceptical at times. More of an open-minded pseudo-sceptic than a true believer or out right denier.

But it certainly seems to me that the sounds in the background are actually 'changing' to SUIT THE EXPECTATION. Now if this is some sort of never before experienced (by me personally, that is) 'audial illusion', technical hoaxing or some incredible supernatural 'morphing' I simply have no idea.


After Goatthief mentioned EVP's(which I wasnt familiar with prior to that) I read up on it a bit and it is certainly an interesting subject. Maybe its the video/audio itself that is haunted? Regardless, it has certainly impacted me. I trust in the technology and specialist in fields that deal with such matters; the problem is my peceptions are absolutely at odds with some of the findings regarding the audial part.

Trust me, Im not one to beat a dead horse. This has simply baffled me to be completely frank.

I think its fake the first part is taped in a different room than the second part of the film are two different rooms. You can tell just look at 36 seconds to 37 seconds in you will see the cutover. One room has wallpaper one has paint.

The audio drops occasionally throughout the video in a few places, you focus on clicks more for signs of editing - there are some but unrelated to what's happening on the video (just poor equipment).

Thanks for the great sound analysis going on of this video and to the poster asking if it's in the same room - yes - it is - see page seven for another part of the baby clip video which shows the full room more.

Nephew - I am going to see what I can do about getting your Dad to join us here. If you talk to him first - please prepare him for the hammering he may receive but knowing your dad - he would add a great deal to this discussion on the technical side especially. It may take me the better part of a day as I am working all day today to reach him.. He is the one who set up the video camera and captured the footage.

I can tell you the rocking horse was purchased in Grand Junction, Colorado and was already used I believe. The location of this rental house where the footage was captured was in Seymour, Indiana. They no longer live in this same home.

I am so, so, so glad we finally got our hands on this tape again. It truly is amazing footage and is everything I ever heard it was. Peace all and thanks for the intelligent analysis. I couldn't think of a better place to bring this tape than ATS to have it looked at. If we can reach and get the dad here who took the footage I think we can answer even more questions about that night and what he had experienced prior to taping this. Hello my friend, forgive the harsh criticism I'm inputting into this thread - im just trying to cover all angles to judge whether we do actually have a video showing a real paranormal event.

Could you shed any light on why the parents wouldn't have entered the room when they heard the rocking as shown in the tape? They were still upstairs so they probably would of heard it so why didn't they investigate?

I don't think it is actually "upstairs" as I don't remember the layout of this house - I think all this is on one level but I could be wrong. The mother (my sister) was out of the house that night for a bit and dad was home with my nephew.

I don't think he actually heard the horse at this time but he will have to confirm that. You can hear my nephew and his dad in the next room but they were talking, playing and the television was up pretty loud would be my guess. The times they had heard the horse before had been at night when the house was quiet. Plain and simple - I don't think they heard it this time. I will try to get my former brother-in-law to join us here and he can answer more questions if he is willing.

Sorry I can't be of more help but I wasn't there - I've just been the one who heard about this video from my sister all these years and she didn't have a copy until recently.

edit to add: I know they had tried to barge in on the noise several times and had found nothing moving according to my sister - so even if they did hear it - if it had been me - I wouldn't have walked in either knowing that if it was moving the video was capturing it this time and obviously it was stopping if someone came into the room - just my two cents of why logically he would not have entered the room even if he did hear it. We will wait to hear it from the horse's mouth though so to say.

Sorry Im just answering on guesses its early here and I dont want to text him right now. He or I will provide better answers later.

1. Ill ask him or when he gets here he can prolly remember the year and make at least.

2. I think but I cant say for certain that they hadnt completely ruled me out but they were leaning to it being something strange, rather it was the cats or a ghost. Ill have him answer for sure too XD.

3. Prior to that all I know is that they (being my mom and dad and friends) had some crazy weird experiences with the oeja (sp?) board. But he will have to answer too.

4. He received the rocking horse from his mom and dad but he might be able to contact them and see if they know the age. I dont remember having any other pictures of the horse but there may be a few floating around in closets lol.

5. Oh I was wrong it was in a 1- story house in Seymour Indiana.

Okay mate, that sounds reasonable enough to me. Will be interesting if he could join us to hear his say, whether the video can be proved as real or debunked on here do you think it might be a good idea to send it to some sort of paranormal research society?

Lol - you may be correct, however, I think this may have been in Seymour before Indy - at one time you all lived in Rhonda's mom's rental house there I think - and this may be that house or one close to it that you moved to - although that may have been when you were younger. Now we definitely need your dad here hahahaha. Your mom would also know - I'll check with her. I have to leave but will check in later tonight and hopefully with your dad today. Study hard at school.

Thank you for the location info. I'm looking into some stuff regarding the locations. I have no idea where this will go, but so far, I've established that there are several Amish families living in Seymour - and have done since the 60's.

Grand Junction does indeed have rocking horse shops that.....wait for it.... are made by Amish craftsmen.

As I said, I have no idea where this is going - if indeed anywhere. Hopefully though, maybe - just maybe, a link will crop up. But please don't anybody hold their breath.

Just a query on the Amish boy: how certain are you that the apparition was actually Amish. In terms of time frame, how close was it (the sighting) to the rocking horse event? Was it a 'one-off' sighting of the boy?

What's obvious, the room the child was riding the horse is not the same room the horse is in.

I'm calling hoax.

The horse is placed in a room and a "wire" running from the horses head down to the feet and out the door.

Every time the horse moves, it starts by leaning forward first.

And why did they leave the recorder facing the horse unless they were looking to get the best viewable angle.

Calling hoax.. sorry no flag or star. Nothing of interest here for me.

Not sure it's not the same room but the camera has obviously been moved, I'll agree that it isn't positioned for the best viewing angle of the room.

I just wanted to say I think this is the best vid on the subject I've seen yet. I've had a lot of fun watching the vid and listening to the audio. Thanks for posting this and for answering all the questions. Try not to let the moronic comments get ya down. =)
