Does anyone know if we can access any kind of ground temperature monitoring? Or even the water in the lake?

I have just been trying to observe more what is going on in the area. You guys are bringing back fantastic data.

There is so much information out there, but you really have to search for it.

I do believe those are harmonic tremors as well, (magma is a-movin') and remember this type of event can last for days and weeks.

Honestly, I am still amazed there has been no change of level code for the park. Too much activity for it all to be in "normal ranges".

Glad you are here and TRUEAMERICAN too.
The gangs in town.

I agree that a code level change seems to be in order at this point.
Tourism?

Thanks to everyone providing info and input.
Much appreciated!

Me too. Yes, that's very frustrating.
UoU Eq list not updating as it should, GEE not working, lagged seismograph charts... are they doing this on purpose?

ANyone know why Roes isn't showing the Yellowstone Quakes? I read somewhere that FEMA and USGS have been having info pulled?

RSOE isn't always reliable -
Although in some cases in the past they have
listed events that USGS does not -
so go figure.

I am not a vulcanologist nor an expert. But it appears that the earthquakes may be moving in a NNE pattern. Yellowstone Earthquakes

I feel that these harmonic earthquakes may be caused by magma moving in the NNE pattern indicated. Based off this map it appears that the earthquakes are heading on a NNE direction toward the "punch through zone" of the caldera.

I am not a doomsday person but IMHO this does not look good. Anyone else have any supporting or disputing evidence to my theory? I'm not panicked about it, if it happens it happens, I hope not though.

USGS is now bogged down on its Y animations
Responce to a post above
RSOE has been thought of as access denide by some of us.

They are going to have to send someone out to fill this seismic station with internet ink. It's probably about empty by now.

I'll agree this is an increase in activity!

And in intensity.

Being my 2nd post (thanks for all the impecable work you guys have been doing so far) I'm going to echo the motion of a new thread dedicated exclusively to posting the most relevant links so more people can keep an eye on this.

I've read the entire thread and have been clicking like mad, reading alike, and unfortunately my browsing history is a mess right now.

Thanks again, incredible job guys. I'm happy to be around.

2009 YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK EARTHQUAKE AND SUPER VOLCANO ALERT

www.youtube.com...

2009 State of Emergency for Yellowstone National Park has had over 500 earthquakes in the last five days of 2008. Chris Sanders the President of The Gas Company who is also a geologist has been tracking the possible eruption of this super volcano for the last few months. Now January 1, 2009 Chris is advising that all people visiting and volunteering at Yellowstone National Park leave immediately. "I would rather be wrong than right on this one since it once ended life and should annihilate a radius over 300 square miles minimum when it goes off. Plus all of our technology in place is showing magma moving towards the surface causing movement and earthquakes everywhere" More information can be learned at www.usgs.gov or at www.worldwidewaterplan.com...

First geologist requesting evacuation. Video is decent.
