'Sceptic' politician saw UFO

www.ntnews.com.au

A TERRITORY politician has added weight to growing claims there are UFOs flying around in Darwin's rural area.

Independent MLA Gerry Wood said he saw a strange object fly across the sky above Howard Springs early Wednesday morning.

"It was a dark grey object and it was flying parallel to the ground - it lit up white at the front for a short period, maybe one or two seconds, and then the light disappeared and the object melted with the sky," he said.

Mr Wood, a self-confessed sceptic, said the object moved across the sky at a tremendous rate, but he didn't believe it was a plane.

"There wasn't a sound, not even a whisper," he said.

This is interesting!

I was more focused on the picture provided....

It looks like a bird!

This cant be the UFO in question.

Alan just snapped a picture above his house and said its a UFO?

And they put it in with this article?

Seems like the media wanted to make this story to have more pizazz!

Well, he can join the ranks of Kucinich, Carter, and me who had the intestinal fortitude to report it.

Very true!

I do not doubt the credibility of this man, however the randomly pasted picture is quite odd!

Clearly whatever it was he photographed was way too far to get a good view of with his own eyes. The "glowed white" on the front is probably nothing more than a banking plane, and the sun reflecting off it's wings.

The rest "disappearing into the sky", well, watch a plane long enough, and at a distance, yeah, it does appear to "disappear into the sky". I used to watch planes come in for landing at CFB Trenton. At a distance, they look nothing like what they actually are, and when they're taking off and leaving the area, once they get far enough, tracking them with your eyes becomes impossible, and they seem to disappear into the sky.

He did mention that it was moving at a incredible rate!

This was a 'skeptic' remember, he doesnt want to see a UFO, he wants to disprove UFO's!

Ironic dont you think!

"UFOs dont exist" ......."WTF IS THAT!!!!!!!" "UFO!!!!!!"

Agreed. The posted pic detracts from the posters presumed siting.
And it does look like a flying poo.

If you click on the link halfway through the article there are 2 more pictures of the "object".

If he threw the turd that high he must have used some kind of slingshot.

Haha, it's nice to see Australia can spell sceptic correctly, unlike some other countries (you know who you are
)

Those pics really are U.F.O's, as are all photos of blurry blobs in the sky. It's highly improbable that it's of alien origin though and I don't know why anyone would even submit such a photo as evidence.

Live long and prosper and Hail Ming!!!

Oh God no!!
We're on that again. It's skeptic!!!
I bet when our fathers and grandfathers were fighting against Nazi germany they weren't having lengthy philisophocal discussions of the the spelling on SKEPTIC

Just another random pic of what could be a goose with a bad hair day.

this image looks like to a front view of a blended body wing.. because on both sides we see small wings.. with between the crafts wingtips and the body we see air intakes/ engines .. and between the engines the body were (a) pilot(s) would sit. but that is what it looks to me.
