ok is all heavy metal bands such as slipknot satanic like the rumors go b/c i have a dvd with slipknot praying

Slipknot = bad

Most of the heavy metal bands that brandish pentagrams, 666, satanic imagery arn't neccesarily satanic. They've just jumped onto the satanic band wagon.

Most of them don't believe in a being called satan, rather they entertain the myth of satan. Or play off what satan represents ie. serving self, carnality, rebellion against any divine authority etc..

There was this band which Devin Townsend of SYL makes fun of. They started as a punk band, had no success so over night they became a satanic black metal band, major sellout.
So it could also be a matter of what works and sells.

damn right. A couple of years ago, they had 20,000 sorts of T-shirts and sweaters, 5 billion different posters and only 1 album out

well what ever, slayer would eat anyoen alive. a match with pantera would be tight but still, i think slayer would come out alive!

Slayer have turned commercial too ya know the only 3 bands that i know of that will never turn commercial are:
Mortician
Napalm Death
Anal Cvnt.

AC = awesome
If you dont know then get educated. And before someone posts it, no, Im not refering to ACDC.

AC are bloody hilarious though the lyrics Seth comes up with are just funny.

Iron Maiden are old men who can't let go of the fact that their near future consists of pureed meals, wheel-chairs and colostomy bags.

Napalm Death have a couple off good songs, but their overall talent isn't quite up to par.

A.C are just morons who spend $40 to record each album. They rely on a stupid and offensive name to draw in fans, and even then most people walk away with the thought that they've just wasted 5 mins of their life.

Slipknot write decent music, although they have mellowed down a little over the last few years. They keep their fans by writing music JUST like every other band does. Would you watch Slipknot perform if they sang Nursery Rhymes?

Slayer Kicks A$$ also, have done for years.

Pantera is the same.

I also enjoy White Zombie, Cannibal Corpse, Strapping Young Lad, Alice in Chains (different genre but who cares), Ion Dissonance and many more.

P.S- Lamb of God SUX.

Slipknot are one of the best bands I have ever seen in my life and I've seen A LOT of bands. No, they're not Satanic... I don't think they have a pentagram, they have a nine-sided star which represents all nine members of the band.

Anyway... go listen to some Scar Symmetry!
