Putin attempt to bully G8

I believe that the latest outburst from the lovely Mr Putin is just an attempt to de-stableize the G8 conference in order to manipulate it to his advantage.

This would be totally in keeping with his KGB training and postings in foreign intelligence and international affairs not to mention his somewhat shady business tactics and career, and his goal of making Russia the superpower that the USSR once was.

Is it a coincidence that Putin first congratulated the developers of a new missile, then said they would be pointed at Europe, because of a missile defense shield that is not yet in`place, all in the run up to the G8 summit?

The rest of the G8 of course are now desperately trying not to offend this sensitive soul, so he now has them right where he wants them.

good point. But you would have to wonder if what they are saying about the new missile is true, and not just propraganda, and what is to say that we dont have some space lasers to knock out missile, but we just havent told anyone.
