Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott has been admitted to hospital with a suspected chest infection.
Mr Prescott, 69, is undergoing tests after feeling unwell. His illness is not thought to be life-threatening.

A statement from Mr Prescott's office said: "He has been admitted to hospital. He is undergoing tests as a result of a suspected chest infection."

In May Mr Prescott announced he would step down as Labour's deputy leader and the contest to replace him continues.

hes been admited into hospital again suffering from a possible chest infection, he said he was going to step down as Labour's deputy leader
so does this mean he will step down faster then he planned?
and another leader ship race in labour?

He has resigned already, so I don't understand your post.
(That is why there is a deputy leadership election. No deputy)

I caught this on the news yesterday.

I wish Mr. Prescott well and hope he has a speedy recovery.

I can't see it accelerating the Labour deputy leadership election... it's all on a strict timetable, and besides I'm sure the party could cope with an absent deputy leader for a couple of weeks. It's not all that important a position to be honest.
