Were Nazis put in power by some secret elite?

I strongly oppose the idea Nazis were put in power by a secret elite or such. I have seen arguments that try to connect Bush to the rise of Nazism and such but the simple fact is Nazis really had little monetary help until after they had seized power. At least most of their contributions were private from Germans. When the Nazis seized power is when the industrial barons of Germany (not all of them some were barred) met with Hitler and eventually capitulated and decided to join the Nazi machine.

No, they were put in power by the german people, aided ofcourse by propaganda, economic stagnation, the general displeasement with the outcome of WWI and Hitler's clever way of stirring them up and making them believe he would set everything right. It's easy to blame it on some shadow group, and I'm sure there were thing going on behind the scenes, but basically they came to power with the blessing of their people.

i totally agree with all your arguments but what about the spear of destiny?we have evidence that nazi had the artifact until the end of the war....

First...why would a holy object give power to an unholy satanic group? The idea that the spear of destiny has power ignores that it has power because of Jesus Christ. Makes no sense at all. If anything it would be like the ark of the covenant and destroy the Germans as it did in Indiana Jones.

But that to me is all foolish. Suffice to say it still does not address how Nazis came to power.

The Nazis also had a big fan by the name of Henry Ford. He apparently used to write a regular column praising Hitler and the Nazi movement in a Detroit newspaper...if I'm not mistaken, he actually bought the paper to give himself a forum.

My father, a German, was studying the roots of what had happened to Germany at that time. He once asked me if I could find a copy of Ford's book of collected articles at the university where I work. I found it, published in Leipzig, 1943. Go figure.

I'm told that to this day, you rarely find a Jew in a Lincoln. No surprise there.

The German voters hardly rate as a secret elite. The masters of National Socialism were swept into power by a voting public tired of massive economic problems, the humiliation of Versailles, and anger at the ineffectiveness of the Weimar Republic.

But the Nazis did not do much business with Ford they did Business with GM.
