What about 'an odour of zombies'?

Or, better still, a 'reek'?

A philosophie of zombies.

philosophie: a ponder of philosphers.

ponder: a point of angels.

point: the tiniest conceivable thing.

A tiniest conceivable thing of angels of philosophers of zombies.

A stagger of Zombies?

Depends on the speed of said undead, I suppose.

i believe speed depends upon physical condition. if some has been bitten in the leg or foot they will be considerably slower and if they had any infection beforehand then they would be slower

My vote is for "horde" Just sounds right.

What's more fun, is all the nicknames for them....(like these from World War Z)

Zs (Zombies)
Zeds (Z for Zombie, but more military)
Gs (Ghouls)
Zacks (like Zeds)

Kind of reminiscent of the nicknames for different countries' troops in WWII, etc.

A crop of zombies.

Afterall, they come back up from the earth after they're planted.

Surprised no one has commented on the humor of this thread rising from the dead after four years

I was going to suggest "a 'shambling' of zombies," but 'shamble' has already been suggested.

How about a "ravening" of zombies? or a "voracity" of zombies?
