I agree this study sounds like crap. But the UK study actually made sense and came up with the same conclusion.

Also, I highly suggest you read "The War Against Boys: How Misguided Feminism Is Harming Our Young Men" by Christina Hoff Sommers, Ph.d. Even if you do think women are smarter than men for whatever reason, I think this book will be a big eye-opener for you.

Oh, don't get me wrong,Crow, feminism has certainly hurt this country. The girls of the younger generation know it that's why feminism is not anywhere near as popular as it was say, even 30 years ago. I'm not disagreeing with you 100%; I'm only disagreeing with you about 60%. You certainly have a point,bud.

I don't know if realize that studies have proven time and time again that academia tends to favor women much more than men these days. That's why so many boys are failing out of shcool, they don't receive as much help as girls do. There was an interesting article about this in Newsweek recently. Feminism is partly the problem.

Well that is exactly it....look at how many who receive scholarships and other forms of financial aid for college are females.

There are as many deserving young men who dont receive all these scholarships or financial aid.

In my state if the student is a mother of 2 or more...all her schooling is free.

One of the big reasons for this is, to qualify, you have to 1. do things for your community (which most young men do not) or 2. know someone who can get you one.

ive seen golden retrievers with more intelligence then some men and women . a golden retrievers brain is much smaller then an adult human brain.

Okay, so what's your take on the UK study. Tell me what's wrong with that one.

nothing is wrong with that study. i think intelligence is relative. you can find women smarter then men, and men smarter then women. it mostly comes down to their education.

in my daughters kindergarten class there are 5 girls and 11 boys. her teacher has noticed she reads , writes, and knows more math then all the students. she actually gets a special tutor , outside of class, to help her improve her reading. she also does first grade math with the first graders. why is this? probably because she was in preschool for 3 years and since birth , her mom and i have worked tirelessly to educate her mind.

a little boy who sits next to her, has problems even writing his name. its shameful he was never in preschool and has a mom who could care less to educate him in her own time. will this boy , with his male brain , be smarter then my daughter in 15 years? NO , it all comes down to education.

knowledge and intelligence can be created in any humans mind.

I mean see someone mentioning something about changing lightbulbs, what does that have to do with anything? The husband is either lazy or he's the smart one sitting on the couch while the wife is working.


Men and women each have their own advantages, like men being better drivers. Does that make them any smarter? No. Could it be used as an argument? Possibly, but it could also mean that men have a better understanding of objects in motion (think evolution of the male hunter).

I think the reason why guys arent doing so well in school is because of girls. Lets face it fellas, girls are a distraction. I bet if public schools were to separate boys and girls, both would be getting better grades in every subject.

I ran this artice by my wife. She said it must be true, because she did marry me.

it's the latter....lol!!! think I said something to allude to this in my post...men are smart enough to fake being stupid to get out of doing things they don't want to do???

academics isn't an accurate gauge for intelligence either I don't think. many of those billiant "a" students in high school don't have the common sense to change a lightbulb...
in many ways, my husband is smarter than me....in other ways, I am smarter than him....working together, our two half brains might actually make a full brain....

now if you're looking for brilliance, look at your average household cat!! even with it's tiny brain, and one word vocabulary...it manages to connive it's humans into bending to it's will every time!!

First off, I havn't bothered to read the whole thread, the ones that I did read were sexist and immature.

Anyway, you people should know that there are 3 OTHER types of intelligence AFAIK, and just IQ DOSN'T make Males superior. I can think of dosens of things that men are generally better at, and things that women are generally better at.

The main factor is the person being tested, at my age (14) girls are smarter than boys, but I am in the top 12% of maths / science results as them
