Apocalypse Now featured one of my favorite movie quotes....
"I love the smell of napalm in the morning"

and, from my childhood, I recall a film, 300 Spartans that had a great quote (at least it was great when I heard it -- I was about 12 years old at the time -- and I always remembered it.

King Leonidas, the Spartan King, was speaking to the Persian King (the enemy). The Persian King said
"We will blot out the sun with our arrows"
King Leonidas replied, "Good, then we'll fight in the shade".

OK, it isn't much of a verbal exchange but, for some reason, I've always remembered it.

Some of my faves, maybe not so well known....

"Soylent Green is people, it's people!" - Charlton Heston, "Soylent Green"

He did a funny skit on SNL doing that, and his Planet of the Apes character, too.

"Gentlemen! You can't fight in here! This is the War Room!" - Peter Sellers, Dr. Strangelove.

"Hey Big Joe, make a deal. What kind of deal? A DEAL deal, maybe he’s a Republican." - Don Rickles character "Crap Game", in "Kelly's Heroes"

"Women, who made'em? God must've been a f******' genius. " Al Pacino, Scent of a Woman.

"When in doubt...f**k." Al Pacino talking to his tom cat, Scent of a Woman.

"Only two syllables in this whole wide world worth hearing...pu$$y." Al Pacino, Scent of a Woman.

"It was a woman that drove me to drink. I didn't even have the decency to write and thank her." W.C. Fields
