I'm not sure on this one.... They say he was found with diagrams of where the prisoners were kept, list of detainees, and their interrogators...

To me, that sounds like information that a Muslim chaplain would want to know in order to minister to them, don't ya think? I'd like to know what's truly considered "classified" that he was carrying... Don't get me wrong, if he's in with these beasts, hang 'em by the balls....but at the same time, I read nothing in the article that sounded like information he shouldn't have....

They should check this guy out. It may be nothing...but you never know. He left the Army and went to Syria. Then comes back to the Army. And finds himself in a terrorist prison camp. Names and documents of their whereabouts in the prison. Hmmm..it should raise some eyebrows.

Nothing in it as far as I'm concerned. All they have on him is some sketches of the camp and lists of the detainees names. Fairly normal things to have, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that the guy drew the camp out of artistic interest or just to pass the time.

I think the media might be exaggerating the significance of this case simply because of his muslim background. I'm sure this must have happened before, it's not after al, a major breach of security or any real threat.

I'm thinking more that he wanted to get to know their names to preach to them, and that the easiest way to do this, would be by cell location....Ahmed in the first cell, Mohammed in the second cell, and so on....

Like I said, if he's in with them, fine, string him up...but there wasn't anything in the article that made me think he had anything above the norm... Does it warrant investigation? Hell yeah, but let's not crucify the guy yet...and THAT is what I disagree with... Because this guy is in the news like this, any family he has here, or friends, may face the angry backlash of a bunch of rednecks with too much time on their hands, and beer in their guts...when all he may be guilty of, is trying to learn his brothers' names so he could minister to them....

He was clearly breaking the rules. He was not supposed to have diagrams, or names. HE DEFINITELY APPEARS TO BE A SPY. He should be court martialed, and if convicted, shot by a firing squad. The offical punishment for spies in wartime.

I think our chaplain there, if that is what they call them, moonlights as an artist or set designer or as a gasp SPY!

Sounds like they were letting the Fox mind the hen house. I would think all the security checks on this guy should have been handled before they let him in there:@@

That's the problem with us in America isn't it? We are so damned nice and nieve.

if it was just a drawing of the cells with individual names on it, then why didnt he ask the officer incharge of the base for a map of the cells.

unfortunitly, it seems that his drawing also included security positions in the camp and other issues

I had heard he was going to take the diagrams to Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch because of the human rights violations.

Doesn't your belief in God and your adherence to your religious beliefs kind of SUPERCEDE your army commander's orders?

If it were a predominantly Christian concentration camp, and the Christian priest witnessed atrocities against his fellow Christians, shouldn't he speak up? If you witness evil and just let it continue, isn't that evil as well?

Would you sacrifice your promise of an afterlife because your C.O. says to shut up?

Well, then you can be court-martialed and tried for treason, but you'll be good with your god... So be it, but if it was espionage (and by the sounds of denoting security info, etc., it sounds like it), then whether his god likes it or not...he's sunk...

The War against Terrorism is a losing battle, it will prove to be America's downfall. Economically and socially. It's already starting, but I guess the US viewing public is dumb as dirt.

If you don't fight for your freedoms as they are being taken away from you, either due to ignorance or apathy, then you don't deserve those freedoms.

jakomo,

since when is the church working with Amnesty International?

Frankly most of those global NGO's are fronts for socialism and globalism anyways.

I mean that's what Rothschild envisioned when he created them, but that's annother good topic, hey why arn't I starting more but...,

you sure got a hatred on for the US?

I thought that was supposed to be reserved for ROC (rest of Canada to you outsiders)?

TheNeo: "since when is the church working with Amnesty International?"

Where did I say that? If a Muslim chaplain complains to Amnesty International about Human Rights Violations, it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with his religion.

It has to do with BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS. The prophet Mohammed was all for it, fyi.
