Murder and mayhem in New Orleans' miserable shelter

I decided not to ATSNN the story but I was so apalled when I read this that I sat in stunned scilence. I am shocked that people will fall to such levels. This was not looting to get water and survival gear, nor was this about self defence, this was rape and murder. Many of the stories have yet to be confirmed, but they sent a chill down my spine that people could resort to such levels of anarchy :shk:

Sitting with her daughter and other relatives, Trolkyn Joseph, 37, said men had wandered the cavernous convention center in recent nights raping and murdering children.

She said she found a dead 14-year old girl at 5 a.m. on Friday morning, four hours after the young girl went missing from her parents inside the convention center.

"She was raped for four hours until she was dead," Joseph said through tears. "Another child, a seven-year old boy was found raped and murdered in the kitchen freezer last night."

Several others interviewed by Reuters told similar stories of the abuse and murder of children, but they could not be independently verified.

Will these ani mals that committed these crimes every face justice? I doubt it given the overall state of anarchy and lack of official protection.

Thats is totally sick and terrible. I fear they will not get the punishment they deserve. U know i almost hope someone just finds these people and beat the hell out of em. I know that sounds terrible but come on if you want anarachy and act like animals u dont desrve the rights.

Its not that many just a few that have used this oppurtunity to prey on the weak. Most people in the shelter and elsewhere are simply victems of a few :shk:

One young man said he was not looking forward to another night in the convention center and wondered when conditions would improve. "It's been like a jail in there," he said. "We've got murderers, rapists, killers, thieves. We've got it all."

I herd of that too and that makes me sick, man I hurt deep inside hearing that.

I assume that whomever is at fault may never face court or any punishment for those horrible crimes. The Law enforcements is trully overwelmed and I doubt that they will even have a lead.

Those people in N.O have been through too much trama and many still remain infear for they may be next.

The worse thing is that maybe whomever did it might've gotten a free ride to Texas already and is breathing fresh air while the family of these crimes remain in N.O

Ya I heard about this...

simple animal instincts I guess.. When pushed to hard and things get really bad, sooner or later some people who have a breaking point.

I am not condoning what happned but lets face it.. I thought there wasnt much hope for those people from the door considering our governement was dancing around and not doing anything.. Untill someone had the balls to stand up and say something..

But you are missing the other bad conditions in that place as well.

There was 1 nurse that I know of that was in there to care for 20,000 or whatever amount of people in there.

There were dead bodies all over the place in there.. Shown on TV.
These conditions in that places was pure hell..
Not to mention very little food or water... Not for 1 or 2 days for 6 days...

thats horrible, this country is falling into chaos almost. gas and katrina....just causing chaos.

You pretty much summed up how I was feeling when I came into work tonight. My knuckles were white on the sterring wheel. I will tell you this now. I am re-evaluating my entire disaster prep kit and will be packing much more than water and food to prtoect my family.

Now when I was watching CNN live footage of the thousand of people in line to go into the Super Dome I seen that the national Guard was searching the evacuees for any weapons, as far as the center where the murders and rapes happen was there any search for weapons and if so where did the National Guard go?

I can not understand how something like that could happen in front of some many people and these animals just get away cold blooded. That is a slap to our American faces, the world is looking at us like if we are all uncivil animals.

Id call a breaking point crying uncontrollably or just spacing out so you dont have to deal with it. I went through Opal when i lived in florida and we were in shelters and they told us the roof might come off and we would all be killed, but people didnt roam around raping little girls to death, thats savage animal crap, thats just an animal trying to satisfy a primitive urge, no brain functioning involved. Of course i was in a shelter at a military base and this stuff was not tolerated. It would be justice for the people just to gather around the person that did this and kill them.

I think this might be what we are seeing when a mass group of inmates that have been locked up for way too long finally break free in a city of anarchy. Very disturbing, sad information.

I would like to know if any of the decent people who may have witnessed these swine also take justice into their own hands someting that the justice system on many occasions only jails them for a term then lets them out only to live next door to your kids primary school.Even in a lawless socieity decent people still need to stand up and put things right.I personally would`nt judge someone a murderer for ending the lives of those animals if caught in the act.Not shoot the looters (people trying to feed themselves and family)as i`ve heard your troops have been ordered.

yes, if someone witnessed this they need to tell the other decent people so they can put him to death, since he took advantage of the situation so should the people there in executing him without trial.

I seriously see no wrong in those looters since all of that is covered through insurance, but to have people preying on the weak and young that sux man', why didn't anyone seriously there was thousand upon thousand of people in these facilities why didn't they do a citizen arrest thing,?

Now where did the National guard go after escorting these people into these shelters and last but not least, where did those criminals get high power weapons? I herd a Police officer was shot in the head, thats just sick.
