"Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid raised a few eyebrows yesterday on the Senate floor when he said it would take a "miracle" for Democrats to win enough races next year to take back the Senate."

best line....

Brian Nick, spokesman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee. "Senator Reid can do the math: A Democratic Party, plus no ideas, plus obstruction, plus over-the-top partisan rhetoric equals continued minority."

Was Reid trying to energize his base or just stating facts?

or maybe a few more Delays to be uncovered...
I believe in miracles, don't you?
of course, they could all get a nice big surprise and find themselves the minority parties of a libertarian majority if they don't get their acts together soon and start working for us instead of their own pocketbooks, or those of their buddies!!! Now, that would be a miracle!!!

Uncovered? You really think Delay did something wrong? Delay is a powerful Republican, so he was a target by the "It doesn't matter if the allegations are true or not, it's the seriousness of the charges" crowd.

of course, this just may be "business as usual" in Washington, which is why I'm shooting for a libertarian controlled congress!!

Well, I mean, it's true, so what's the story here? You can't take all that back in one year, although they've got a better shot of doing it there than in the HoR.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid raised a few eyebrows yesterday on the Senate floor when he said it would take a "miracle" for Democrats to win enough races next year to take back the Senate.

If they happen to pull it off, would that be proof of the existance of God and miracles?

If the elections are fixed like the presidency is, then yes, it would require a miracle to change the majority party.

This is a good editorial about the possibility of Democrats gaining a majority again in the Senate.

I think it'd proof of Satan's power unleashed on the world.

A true miracle would be for the Republicans to gain a comfortable, filibuster-proof supermajority in the Senate.

A true miracle would be the Red Sox winning the world series within the next 86 years.

What you've got there is actually something that is feasibly possible, although highly highly unlikely. It's hard to pull something like that off if you're not in the midst of a really popular war or dictatorship.

Note to all: We are not a dictatorship, so don't say we are.

The word for today, Class, is GERRYMANDER.

try to get extra votes unfairly: to manipulate an electoral area, usually by altering its boundaries, in order to gain an unfair political advantage in an election

Democrats are spineless whimps if they don't go on 24/7 assault of the gerrymandering that has occurred with Republican Congressional control, concurrent to the no-papertrail e-Voting and tabulation contracts doled out to GOP-campaign-mangers-for-their-states companies.

Or, as I've come to see in a Red Pill/Blue Pill Matrix like clarity, they simply are playing their role in the grand manipulation.

Gerrymandering? It's low, it's dirty, but it's simply consolidation of power. The democrats would do it too if they could.

What they as well as all the other protestors SHOULD be doing is complaing about Gerrymandering en masse as a method to control the populace and manipulate the vote to stay in power.

If they so desire, anyway.

The same guy who said it would take a miracle for dems to win back the Senate, is now calling Bush a loser. Yes, Bush who WON the last 2 Presidential elections is considered to be a loser to democrats?

Advice to Sen. Reid, take a closer look at your own party, and take a closer look in the mirror before you call winners losers.

Link?

But, I rather think that "loser" in this term is analogous to the what you might say to the guy who has a high-score of 13 million in Tetris. He beat you to smithereens, but it's tetris - what a loser right?

That's be so cool.

Yeah. Also here.

It's stupid, he shouldn't have apologized. It's a humorous poke at a larger issue.
