Most members of the Royal Family unofficially regard the Royal Protection as inadequate and as Charles would unofficially agree wrong mentality for protecting the Royal Family.He has very little time for the Met carrying out these types of duties and is more comfortable having SAS members provide covert security at most times.The Royal Family reguarly visit Hereford.Both Charles son`s have recieved basic skills in firearms and offensive/defensive driving.The reason being if the worse case scenario was to occur he is confident his sons could carry out some basic threat reaction.Whitehall are in a situation were most SAS troopers wouldn`t want to be near Royalty when the cameras are around,therefore the Police will carry on these duties in view of the public under the watchfull eyes of the MOD.
