Greetings ATS! To whoever is left of a once vibrant, cohesive, and fruitful community, I raise my glass and dedicate this song and amazing short video to our friends here, past and present.

This short animated film is sort of an introduction to a brilliant, beautiful, and cerebral 2021 film "The Spine of Night" and has an awesome soundtrack (featuring Strand of Oaks and After Future), along with an intriguing story and animation.

Have you seen "The Spine of the Night"? I could watch it ten more times I think and still want to see more.

Have a good night, friends. What do you think of the music/film?

It yanks the empathy right outta you. Worst case of agoraphobia,
so bad you actually wanna call for a wellness check on him.

This is good too.
Makes a decent ear worm @ work.

There's something about the KEXP (Seattle) studio that brings out the best in a band.

Plymouth

Sometimes I move like shadows, sometimes I move like the wind
But most days I start where I begin
Naked in the great lakes, underneath the shine of Mars
I begged my friend to just let me drift off
Shower your loves in kisses, don't shower the world in tears
Take advantage of those who got you here

Let me roll, let me go
Let me roll, let me go
I’m bound to lose control

I stopped listening to music, I kept writing the same songs
Comfort doesn’t mean your better off
I met you when your hair was short and my ego had barely formed
It took a jug of wine just to ask you home
We took black and white pictures, your hooded sweatshirt on
We were beautiful, we were broken, and we were young

Some bands have said their performance at KEXP turned out better than their finished, professionally produced tracks. There's something about that studio!

This track by The War On Drugs is unreal:

The War On Drugs is a great band. I love that shoegazy music. Another favorite... Catherine Wheel song about heroin addiction.

This may be my favorite shoegaze. It's so relaxing.

“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.”

I picked the video with lyrics cause on others the music is much louder than his voice.

Have you noticed that more & more bands are plagiarizing parts of older artists songs in their own new ones? You'll be just listening expecting a certain song to be in progress or just begining and WAM!! Not only does your brain scream the actual name of the song the artist just ripped off but it's too late, you've already started to sing along when you realize THAT'S not the remembered song!!

Some sharing has always gone on between artists but the above just smacks of laziness.
Mumford & Son's newest "Good People" is a excellent imitation of Adele. Especially the singing, he sounds just like her.
The Avett Brothers newest "Love of a Girl" is totally REM .

Like you Alt music is my oxygen. This one is a "driving song." Bonus points for speeding an screaming MORE COWBELL at the same time.
