A judge from the German state of Thüringen has been given a two-year suspended prison sentence after being accused of "perverting the law."

In 2021, Christian Dettmar, 60, ruled that two schools in Weimar did not have to abide by Covid-19 safety precautions mandated by the federal government in Berlin. These included wearing masks, routine testing, and social distancing.

Prosecutors argued that Dettmar, who served as a family court judge, had ruled on matters that were outside his purview, and originally sought a three-year prison sentence.

On Wednesday, the Erfurt Regional Court delivered its verdict, finding Dettmar guilty of perverting the law. After having his license suspended in January, the father of three has now lost his pension. Regardless of how long one has worked for the state, under German law any civil servant who commits a crime becomes ineligible to receive such payments from the government.

The elderly judge's attorney, Gerhard Strate, called the charges brought against his client "nonsensical," and vowed to appeal the court's ruling.

According to the Epoch Times, Dettmar did not deliver his 2021 ruling on a whim. It came only after extensive deliberation with three external experts on the matter. Nonetheless, the ruling was quickly condemned by the Thüringian Higher Regional Court and the Federal Court of Justice, both of which argued that family courts were not allowed to rule on matters related to public institutions.

Dettmar also references the 'right of children to education and school teaching'.

But in sentencing Dettmar, the presiding judge argued he had reached a verdict that 'he had intended from the outset'.

Dr Gerhard Strate, representing Dettmar, criticised the court's decision to focus only on whether his client had been 'impartial'.

He said they would appeal the decision.

Dettmar had already been suspended on probation pending the investigation, losing 25 per cent of his salary, and had his mobile phone and laptop confiscated after a police raid on his flat.

Strate represented Ronald Barnabas Schill in 2001, then District Judge and later Senator for the Interior in Hamburg.

Schill had been fined for 'perverting the law' - but was later acquitted with Strate's representation.

Another incredible story!

A miscarriage of justice in my opinion due to the fact the judge has been proven right all along and the state never had any evidence to back up the political decisions made to lockdown the entire country, to mandate masks, to mandate some bogus and untested vaccines which have caused plenty of harm especially to young and healthy people, and to impose restrictions on millions of cirizens, often depriving them from work, education, leisure and exercise, in the name of 'science' and in the name of 'safety and public health'.

Children and young adults were never in any great risk from the virus and the facts speak for themselves. As the matter of fact the risk was negligible for these age groups and equally important, lockdowns and the various restrictions imposed did much more harm than good, and I still find it difficult to name even a few benefits from all these restrictions, lockdowns, and from wearing some bogus cheap masks for large periods of time during the day. I wonder how about this vaccination program? Did it succeed in stoping infections and transmissions? Was it beneficial to children and young adults who may have already had been infected and developed natural immunity and at the same time being at the lowest risk from the virus.

The judge is a modern day hero standing against the political narratives and the pharmaceutical interests by paying a very heavy price. Initially they wanted to jail him for three years, now he has been given a two year suspended sentence. He has lost his job and his pension for saying NO to the Covid tyranny imposed on billions of people for over two years.

Who were the three experts?

We shall see if he wins at the appeal court case, but it looks like he'll need three experts of his own.

Cloth masks were useless, social distancing was a joke. Look at all the ones who mandated it, then went out to party. The vaccines didn't do squat, but the sheep will line up for the next one.

Fear sells and there's a lot of gullible customers out there.

It's dangerous to be right when the government is wrong.

Unfortunately this is very true!

And how many others were right and were gaslighted, wrongly accused, defamed, and even lost their jobs.

Fourth Reich here we come !

Must be hardwired into these people.

It’s illegal to talk or think about the last go-round, so they’ll just go ahead and re-run it instead.

They are messing with previous East Germans. They don't like marxism. Hence the switched on Judge, who recognised were this was going.

Wait a little as we're heading towards social credit systems. You can't really dispute and question the chancellor and his government or any other local officials.

All restrictions and medical interventions were imposed without any evidence on how effective they could be. They've pushed political narratives everyone had to follow. All of them failed btw.

He isn't the only judge or scientist who has spoken out against this medical tyranny. See what happened to others who spoke out. But at the end of the day those who spoke out won the debate and the benefits of speaking far outweigh any risks and the consequences that come when you criticise 'authority'.

Imagine doing your job and not giving in to the political narratives and you loose your job and your pension as well as go to jail.

I don't know but that's a secondary matter.

He was right and his government was wrong. But he was the one to loose his job and his pension over the mistakes of his government. He wasn't the one to make these mistakes but one who refused to implement a range of decisions taken in the absence of any evidence.

You don't have to be brilliant to be a medical doctor.

Medicine as a profession comes with a prestige and an expected social status. Nowhere it says your intelligence is increased if you graduate from a medical school.
