Which parts of China and Indo-Pacific Ocean belongs to the U.S.A?

Not surprising that the commandant of the Coast Guard stated that Indo-Pacific is clearly a consequential region for America’s future.

For America's Imperialist obsession.

US Coast Guard To Expand Operations In Waters Claimed By China

Adm. Linda Fagan, the commandant of the Coast Guard, said in an interview with Nikkei Asia published on Monday, "The Indo-Pacific is clearly a consequential region for America’s future

This move seems provocation/provoking.

While at the same time the US polticans had accused Russia of trying to recreate an empire with the war in Ukraine.

For the American Coast Guard to make a political statement.

Blinkin is supposed to talk with some Chinese Head of State. I think this has all been planned out and Blinkin will show weakness, but who knows now since China was able to fly a balloon over America and the military was told not to shot it down. I wonder if the Commander that ordered it shot down still has a job?

What is happening in Asia, Eastern Europe seems to be a bit of desperation from the US Hawkish Politicians.

Look into the shipping port being built in Kiribati by China. Pretty weird stuff. Shipping lane into Antarctica? WTF?

International law dictates how far away from the coast a country's border extends and where international waters begin. China is the only one being Imperialistic in this region. The American goal is to keep these waters free and open to China's neighbors for fishing and shipping reasons.

The job of the Coast Guard is to protect our coast. They should be patrolling for drug smugglers, illegal aliens, human trafficking, etc.

The job of protecting other country's waters is that of the country involved or the Unted Nations.

So, your happy to live in a dying empire hell bent on provoking WW3, completely unnecessarily?

What does the US gain, other than unlimited MIC spending and potential nuclear war, by confronting China on their doorstep?

Nevermind...I know....distraction, distraction, distraction...

The United States is determined to start a war with China. A few people will make billions of dollars from such a war so they are determined it's going to happen. American people have no quarrel with Chinese people. But there is just too much money on the table to NOT start a war. They are slobbering in Washington DC just thinking of the profit.

Once the Ukraine proxy debacle has been milked for all its worth the new theatre will open. It's the American way.

Meantime the ground is being prepared and the public suitably primed.

See all the other countries in green besides China?

All the fishermen in all these countries have no problem the US Coast Guard wants to patrol these waters.

China wants the whole South China Sea for its exclusive use. That's fishing, oil, natural gas, minerals, and exploration all for China. Might as well turn all those countries Chinese if that happens

I don't think America wants a WW3 at all. they seem to be making enough money selling weapons to other countries. Seems to me they are just keeping the shipping routes open and free. It's all about money and trade. If America wanted to expand there are many places closer and in North America that would be more viable.

Take your anti-american rhetoric elsewhere.

Antarctica contains vast resources, oil, coal, minerals, fresh water, and the surrounding seas are rich with protein. China looks the Antarctic the same way they look at Siberia, but with no Russians in the way.

These are International Waters.

China is being Imperialistic by trying to claim them for itself.

But you blame away at the US.

No surprise there.

I'd rather live in a country where our elected officials prioritize the interests of the people who elected them and pay their salaries.

International disputes are the responsibility of the United Nations. If they can't do their jobs, we need to stop funding them and replace them with an organization that can.

Unfortunately the UN would be useless as China would veto anything it didn't like.

It is indeed such BS, they are perfectly happy with the status quo. For some though love "Tears for Fear" and think everybody wants to rule the world when it's just some capitalist politicians and businessmen who want to get incredibly rich.

Russia got outmaneuvered because the West can bring so much more economic development to Ukraine.

Russia has double the territory of the next closest country, Canada.

Not to mention America isn't the country building islands in the South China Sea or outright occupying islands that probably should be Japanese

We did replace them with an organization that can settle international disputes. In fact, we replaced them with the only organization that could--the United States of America.

You could say the same thing about the Army, Navy, Marines & Airforce.

Yet, there we were...many times.

We protect our allies and our interests. As it should be...
