The Japanese were about to lose the war either way. Germany lost,
this was at near at the end of World War II.

The Japanese of that time were a lunatic culture that was going to fight to the last child. The bomb was to avoid that, because they wouldn’t give in.
Like the other guy said, read a book. Don’t just write your own version of history to help you weep and accuse.
And guess what, I hate the neocon warmonger profiteer deep state assholes more than you do.
But Japan / the bomb isn’t even related to that.

That dummy better not apologize...I am still mad we didn't warn Beijing and Moscow and drop at least two more on those cities.

..'cause this is how you get kamikazes

And Pearl Harbor, and medical atrocities worse than Mengele. Yeah, very pitiable. Every civilian population suffers because of their insane leaders and govt. The bomb saved lives, by shaming the lunatics and snapping them out of it.

Because America/US govt will never apologize for any of the acts the US commits whatever its Hiroshima, Iraqi war.
The bombing of civilians in Belgrade for 70 days.

At end of the day US dropped a Nuclear Weapon on civilians, destroying a civilian city on Hiroshima. Civilians which had nothing to do with the war that was about end in WW2.

Biden won’t apologise for US using nuclear weapon on Hiroshima at Japan G7

Mr Biden is currently en route to Hiroshima, the Japanese city that was the target of the first combat use of an atomic bomb on 6 August 1945, for the 2023 Group of Seven leaders’ summit.

He needs to start with the $hit he's done to us personally first. Then we can worry about what happen in the last WW before he starts the next one. IMO

for once I agree with President Biden.

apologizing for using nuclear weapons in that situation would be wrong. the USA was totally justified.

Ok so your point is?
Its ok when WE DO IT.

what, be attacked? (sarcasm btw) why should we apologize again? do you expect every US president to apologize for it every year? even after all the terrible things they did and still never apologized for.

And who is it they are targeting with these Western missiles, nevermind why?

Think you might find Russia is in the wrong place vNex92 not the other way about, no matter what you claim or attempt to punt.

Which is again lies and Russian propaganda.

Simple as really.

Obama didn't apologize either when he visited Hiroshima in 2016.

Barack Obama became the first sitting president of the United States to visit the Japanese city of Hiroshima. A U.S. president visiting the site where the first nuclear bomb was dropped is significant enough, but during the lead-up to the visit, both American and Japanese officials were careful to make sure that no one expected Obama to issue a formal apology for the bombing.

Biden will be blamed greatly in the future for the many wrongs he has done to this country, but this matter won't be one of them. It simply isn't a Biden issue.

Japan DOMINATED the world of electronics during much of the latter part of the last century.

The 80's saw an explosion in Japanese technology and a comedian named Andrew "Dice" Clay summed up the incredible advancements Japan was making by saying,

"They're taking over. Didn't we drop two bombs on them a few years ago? What was in those bombs, tape recorders?"

LOL.

Not sure what an apology at this point accomplishes. I mean, sorry for what?🤷🏻

Hiroshima atomic bomb: Survivor recalls horrors

Japan Militarized it's Entire Economy and Population to Defend their Islands from Allied Forces " In 1945 " . Women and Older Children were being Trained in Hand to Hand Combat Anticipating Allied Landings on their Shores . Like I mentioned before , Read some Books, the History is All there Even from Japanese Sources .

Yes sir, it's not like they didn't know that communism would be an issue. The cold War was pretty much immediate. And led in my opinion, to ALL our conflicts there after.

Yea.. It's just unrealistic to expect world leaders to apologize for decades-old atrocities.

We SHOULD be apologizing for the people hurt and killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. And all the other innoccent people that were killed by US drone strikes.

But, it's just not going to happen. Even Trump canceled the annual drone strike report which details civilian casualities - because no president wants to actually admit that the U.S. has unneedingly killed a lot of people in the middle east.

All we can do it try to make the world better and reduce the U.S. military war machine. But no president wants to address that complex issue.

Isn't vNex' country committing war atrocities right now? Talk about projecting..

Thats exactly it right there. Without the bombs, the US Navy would have blockaded and starved the Islands. Followed by bombings, which would have further destroyed the cities. Keep in mind dumb bombs were used, so to make up for it, you dropped alot of them. 50-99% of cities were utterly destroyed. See Germany.... The same was happening in Japan too. Further, it would have continued as we starved them. Eventually our landing forces would have entered. Their entire population was mobilized to fight. The men followed by the women, followed by the children would have be wave after wave after wave till either the invading force was destroyed or no japanese person within 100 miles was left alive. either way, Millions would have died on both sides not just from the invasion, but the bombings, and starvation that would have been required to invade. The nukes established we can destroy an entire city with one bomb. when we did it again, we showed it was repeatable, which meant we would not lose men killing entire cities. They sued for peace as a result. It was literally the only way to break there will. Forcing them to face complete and utter destruction.

This is the difference between war then, and war now. today, there are way too many rules. People forget though that when you go to war, you are not just fighting the soldiers. You are fighting the people, their hearts, their minds. To destroy the war effort, you must destroy the will of the people. Until that happens, the war will drag on. This is also why I am opposed to war btw, as I realize to win a war, you become a monster.
