Bud Light parent Anheuser-Busch’s stock has lost $27B over Dylan Mulvaney

$27 billion
Yet defenders would have you believe this is “no big deal”.

Ahahahahaha
Aaahahahahaha
Aaaaaaahahaha

$27 BILLION

Scary Version .

$27 billion is what they are publicly reporting .

Factor in the future losses, Because the Market operates in no small part on what people think is gonna happen.

It's probably closer to $50billion.

Their stock is down 1% for the YTD and trending upwards.

If Bud Light proves woke=broke does that mean anti-woke=broke considering Elon has driven Twitter's value into the dirt since taking over?

Elon reinstated Kanye West's account so that may generate more revenue, maybe.

And right after boosting RFK Jr's dogwhistle to white supremacists.

It's almost like the rich kid that benefited from apartheid has some deeply troubling views on race.

1% .....wow I had no idea Anheuser Busch was worth so much .

So $27billion is just 1% of there stock , That puts the company worth somewhere around $2 Trillion dollars.

Wow impressive.

Mate moving money around to hide your losses may fool most people but not me .

The company is worth $117 Billion and brings in between 5 and 7 billion a year in net income.

Which means that $27billion dollar loss was four years of income , Way more than a 1% drop.

And it's only going to get worse because once people acquire a taste for other beers ....... then the company will really tank.

Mate I worked in the industry. It doesn't matter how many beers are on the market. AB InBev had rigged the game in their favor. People rarely acquire a taste for other beers. And if they do, it's usually another AB InBev product.

I also don't think you realize how prolific AB InBev is as a company. Anheuser-Busch has taken a hit and Bud Light is no longer the king of light beers. Instead, Modelo has taken that crown. A brand owned by AB InBev.

So even though Bud Light isn't selling as well as it has in years past, AB InBev is still making their money.

Indeed, and they have many other brands/products from which to choose.

AB in bev sold Modelo. I believe it's owned by Constellation. I'll check on that but I'm pretty sure Modelo isn't owned by inbev.

They have 42% of the market. So odds are good that any beer you pick up from the grocery store is owned by them.

Not quite. So AB owned a 50% non-controlling stake in Grupo Modelo. In 2013 they made a move to purchase the remaining 50%. An antitrust suit was filed in the US.

Ultimately the purchase was allowed to go through by having all Grupo Modelo assets in the US controlled by Constellation. Essentially Constellation handles distribution of Grupo Modelo products in the US.

Everywhere else in the world it is strictly an AB InBev company.

Bud Light distributors no longer expect sales to recover from Dylan Mulvaney disaster

After four months of hiring freezes and layoffs — with some beer truck drivers getting heckled and harassed even as Bud Light sales have dropped by more than 25% — Anheuser-Busch wholesalers have accepted that they have lost a chunk of their customers for good — and need to focus on a new crop of drinkers.

But but but it’s not really a thing…….
