You really need to look up those words, because they don't mean what you think they mean.

Nobody stormed the Capitol. The police inside opened the doors and allowed protestors to enter. As has been done many times in the past, I might add. This includes the infamous guy in the horn helmet, who we now see was being guided around the capitol by a police escort the entire time. (Can you say, "plant"?)

Nobody at the protests had guns. A handful of people had knives, pepper spray, and suchlike, but by the admission of the head of the FBI nobody was carry guns. Does that sound like any insurrection you've ever heard of?

...meanwhile, the "mostly peaceful" protests by BLM and Antifa involved widespread arson and looting. That fit the definition of an insurrection much better than anything that happened on 1/6.

According to a May 2021 estimate by the Architect of the Capitol, the attack caused approximately $1.5 million worth of damage to the U.S. Capitol building.

The thing is the damage done was to democracy and that can't be fixed with cash monies.
