The point remains both sides dance around this stuff portrayed as "real" journalism catered to their respective bases, this approach isn't changing minds and creating a consensus, if nothing else it makes the opposing side just dig in their heels.

Within 5 years it will become incredibly hard to tell a deepfake from reality if not sooner
