If you have not heard the original Star Ship Enterprise is on display in the National Air and Space Museum.

Star Trek: The Original Series used ground-breaking visual effects techniques to create the iconic space scenes featuring the USS Enterprise. The centerpiece of this work was an 11-foot-long model of Enterprise and in 1974 Paramount donated it to the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum where it has been on display in various locations over the decades with its latest display put up following a significant conservation project on the model in 2016

I would love to own that. I'm a fan of the original Star Trek...TNG was ok I guess, but no one will ever be able to replace the original.

How long before a US Congressperson sees it during a visit to the museum and asked how they fit all of the crewman into it for the 5 year voyage?
Maybe Hank ( omg Guam could tip over) Johnson?

How long before it offends someone and has to be put in the basement with the Arc of the Covenant?

It will happen sooner or later.

it's been at the smithsonian since 1974.

I've made 2 specific trips to see it since then.

It must have been a fun trip. I would love to go see it someday and can only dream of doing that. It really does stand out as a monument to Sci Fi and I think that it always will ! .a reply to: RealDealer
