I haven't had to deal with that, so I don't know anything about it. I don't have to get one of those here in Illinois, do I?

Yes Sir everyone has to get them , You wont be able to get on a plane or enter a fed building among other things this year.

That's exactly the driver's license I spoke about above, it is called 'Real ID', it is a passport driver's license, and as of May 2023 you will not be able to fly without one.
And I had a real hassle getting it when I renewed my driver's license this past summer, they are requiring documented evidence of identification and address.
