Research shows that comprehensive, culturally responsive and inclusive sex education programs help prevent intimate partner violence and help young people develop healthy relationships. These programs have also been shown to reduce rates of sexual activity, sexual risk behaviors, adolescent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.
Sex ed "promotes healthy behaviors," says Laurie Dils, associate director of content, health and sexual health education at the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. "That's really what we are aiming for as educators, equipping young people with education and skills so that they can make healthy decisions that fit with their own values and their family's values."
"Most young people have access to the internet," Slaybaugh says. "So if we are not providing them instruction that is medically accurate and age-appropriate, we are leaving it to chance for them to find something on the internet, i.e., porn, and then they think that's what sex and sexuality is."

The parents of a Michigan boy are suing three years after they say their son was sodomized by kindergarten classmates, who photographed the abuse using school-issued iPads.
The 23-page lawsuit filed this week in federal court in Grand Rapids against Grandville Public Schools, administrators and a teacher is filed using pseudonyms, listing the child as 'Jimmy Doe'. It alleges violations of Title IX, the federal law barring discrimination based on sex.
According to the lawsuit, the abuse first started in the fall of 2014, when Jimmy was just five years old and attending kindergarten at the Century Park Learning Center in Grandville.

'The four boys directed Jimmy as to what and how he was to pose and for how long while the boys used classroom iPads to take photographs,' the lawsuit claims.
They took so many pictures that they often had to delete photos to make room for new ones, the lawsuit says.
Whenever Jimmy would try to get away, the boys would physically block him and threaten him.
'The assailants told Jimmy that if he did not cooperate with them, or if he told about the touching and pictures, they would not be his friends and they would say the sexual activity was Jimmy's idea,' the lawsuit claims.

While most of these books focus on introducing kids to different cultures and ethnicities, parents began to discover that an alarming number of the books focused on “sexual diversity,” contain sexually explicit language, including “frequent descriptions of underage drinking, fondling, masturbation, orgasms, oral sex, sexual intercourse, sexual abuse, statutory rape, incest, and rape.”
Even books at the kindergarten level promote LGBT ideology through books such as “My Princess Boy,” designed to introduce 5- and 6-year-olds to the harmful idea that they can change their gender. Another book, “Heather Has Two Mommies,” denies the need for fathers and ignores the loss a child might feel over having no relationship with his or her father.
Other titles include, but are certainly not limited to: “Prince and Knight” (second grade), “Beyond Magenta: Transgender Teens Speak Out,” “Some Girls Bind,” “Weird Girl and What’s His Name” (positively featuring statutory rape between a young boy and his boss, and a relationship between a girl and her teacher), and “Being Jazz: My Life as a Transgender Teen.”

Ask yourself why drag queens want an audience of children.
