Sort of benign from the other interesting content I see here but I am curious. What are your favorite airports? Least favorites? These do not have to be limited to the United States. They can be large airports, small airports. If you fly Private, do you have a preferred FBO? What do you like and dislike?

Ill start. I live in Atlanta so ATL is my home base airport, but I've traveled to many due to my job, enough to make a list of favorites and least favorites, so Ill rank them here.

Favorites:
1. Washington-Dulles. Love it, hardly ever busy when I go, the terminals are huge, clean, plenty of 747, 777, A340, A380s to peek at
2. Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson. You would think this would be first on my list since I live here, but since its big, clean, and plentiful, it comes 2nd
3. San Francisco International. Very Cool outdoor observation deck on the 4th floor. Clean, nice layout

Least Favorites:
1. Newark Liberty International - hate the layout, airport seems run down, dirty, lack of services
2. Los Angeles International - hate the layout, airport is dated and could use an upgrade, although the big glass at the gates are pretty cool though
3. Miami-International - I really thought I would like this one but the airport needs a refresh, I thought I was walking into the 80s decora

Favorite FBO - Cobb County International. Very clean, nice bathrooms, plus I have an access card to drive my car on the tarmac and go watch planes, so huge bonus there.

Curious to see what you have to say!

Favourite airport ever for landings and takeoff is Castlegar, BC, Canada.

Almost vertical in both instances.

It's fun AF.

Las Vegas baby...I can smoke, gamble, and take my drinks with me wherever I want to go! I know if no other US airport offering that level of freedom. Maybe Nashville but you have to pay 8$ for the one smoking areas they had and it was smokey as hell and kinda sucked.

FFS, anywhere in Canada, if you leave for a smoke ANYWHERE, you have to check back in through security.

Bunch of BS.

I'm jellie.

In vegas each terminal has a glass enclosed casino style air filtration so its literally never smokey slot bank that you can smoke in. In fact if you are at the C gates I think it is there is a bar that's smoking attached to a glass slot machine room. Either way you can always got to any bar and buy a drink to go take it to a smoking area. Personally never win or gamble much it the airport but thats because they don't seem to have food win rates on general compared to some of the better places in town.

I can for sure say I am happy its my home airport because I too fly a lot for work.

Munich because of the easy layout and access from the Autobahn.

Nuremburg is okay, Frankfurth (FRA) is too big for my taste.

Favorites

Palm Springs - mostly outside

Vegas - spot machines

New Orleans - small and easy to get through

Worst
Charlotte - black hole of airports., Always being renovated, every flight is delayed.

BWI, just a mess

All others. Airports are miserable in general

Dallas-Fort Worth.

They have a bar on the 2nd floor mezzanine that allows smoking inside the terminal.

Frankfurt/M is awful. I prefer the regional airports, although best option is to not be at an airport at all!

Cheers

My favorite airport is the one I don't have to deal with at all.

If I had to do one, I used to actually like KCI, not because it was a pretty, modern, or great airport full of conveniences, but because it was easy to get from point A to point B. It was efficient with its split terminal design. You could get straight to your gate and go without getting lost in a massive timesink.

But I hate airports.

You'd love JSX...its like semi charter. Business class priced tickets for private plane flights. Best part is you go to their terminal not the airport terminal...so no TSA lines and crap.
