Is it normal to bring your motor scooter into a coffee shop now?

This is a little random, but I'm currently sitting in a well known Western coffee shop in the burbs of a well known Western country, and someone has parked their motor scooter next to their table and is having a coffee.

And nobody is commenting on it.

I know that I'm not the most experienced when it comes to western customs or coffee shops, but... Is this normal now?

Petrol or electric?

Is it in the way?

Normal has to start out abnormal and develop so maybe you are in there right at the start of something new.

I suppose high crime rates is what prompted the person to bring it inside. I don’t support the high priced coffee shop chains, so it doesn’t affect me. I drink one cup of coffee that I make and drink at home before I go to work.

With the way crime has skyrocketed, I don't blame them. If it's not bolted to the floor, someone will steal it.

Full petrol scooter, two seater, not one of those little electric ones that hipsters ride up the sidewall.

This is a metropolitan suburb, crime rate is about zero unless you count the fashion police stopping people with manbuns.

In that case, I'd say it's more of an entitled " look what a rebel I am" kinda thing.

If he's parking a Harley in the coffee shop, he's a rebel.
A scooter ? Just a wannabe attention seeker.

Are we talking moped or mobility?

If moped, I have never seen that, but maybe it's an emotional support vehicle.

What you are seeing is a person who has probably been ripped off more than once in their life. Leave it be.. I mean who knows, if your car is stolen a few times, you may end up parking it next to that table as well.

....or just an idiot

flammability of gas AND batteries I'm surprised
insurance would allow them inside

unacceptable, it could ignite.
especially if it's electric
I think you should comment on it.
