Obviously, this could be BS pretty sure they aren't even close to a starting point, but it's as close to negotiating as Russia gets. Depends on what he means by a serious proposal.

Lavrov says Russia open to talks with West, awaiting a serious proposal

www.reuters.com...

LONDON, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday that Moscow was open to talks with the West on the Ukraine war but had yet to receive any serious proposal to negotiate.

In an interview on state TV, Lavrov said Russia was willing to engage with the United States or with Turkey on ways to end the war, now in its eight month.

His emphasis on Russia's receptiveness to talks came after a series of stinging defeats since the start of September that have swung the momentum of the conflict in favour of Ukraine.

Lavrov said officials including White House national security spokesman John Kirby had said the United States was open to talks but that Russia had refused.

"This is a lie," Lavrov said. "We have not received any serious offers to make contact."

He also said Russia would not turn down a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Joe Biden at a mid-November summit of the Group of 20 in Indonesia, and would consider the proposal if it receives one.

"We have repeatedly said that we never refuse meetings. If there is a proposal, then we will consider it," Lavrov said.

Commenting on the possibility that Turkey could host talks between Russia and the West, Lavrov said Moscow would be willing to listen to any suggestions but could not say in advance whether this would lead to results.

He said Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan would have an opportunity to put proposals to Russian President Vladimir Putin when both visit Kazakhstan this week.

Isn’t it amazing that nobody seems to want war except the powerful, yet we will probably have war.

The common people in Russia and Ukraine don’t want to fight against their brothers, yet here they are.

What nonsense this all is.

I think you misunderstand the current world situation.
USA is part of NATO, you make it sound like this is a European thing.

And the repeated attacks by Russia on civilian areas like playground and building complexes is a statement that Russia is not going to stop this illegal invasion and country stealing before they get what they want. And most of the world is against this and are worried what Putin is going to do next so building up a defense against a unknown future controlled by a madman seams logical to me.

There's a lot of Halloween decorations being put up around here.
It starts October 1, earlier with the places which usually have placards reading
'In this house SCIENCE IS REAL', 'Whatever You Say' or
'We Support Ukraine' aka 'Sons of DNC Oligarchs'

Idk why they change anything for Halloween, they should just leave it exactly
as it was when they gleefully stole an election, and doubled down,
for all apparent intents and purposes,
to eliminate future elections.

I can't think of anything scarier than what they prompted with their signaling.

I also have a feeling that a greater war is brewing, but I think it's all staged and will play out a certain way. Let me explain.

After WW2, when the allied forces, led by the US, established global supremacy through the use of nuclear weapons, the shift in global relations was enormous and it was all because of weapons capable of ending all wars. Nearly a century has passed and I think it's time to re-establish supremacy and maintain peace for another hundred years. And the only thing that can detract the autocrats of the globe and create a semblance of peace is a threat of an overwhelming force, like the nuclear weapons used to present when possession was unilateral. Sad to say, but it's true.

What do I think the new weapon is?

I have no clue. But if ANYONE is going to have it, it's going to be the US. We are the only nation on the globe that has had access to trillions of dollars in credits, based on our economy, and that has gone on for decades. Some of those countless trillions go to black projects. Right before 9/11 Donald Rumsfeld testified we had lost $2.3 trillion. That's trillion dollars, unaccounted for by the Pentagon, some 20 years ago. That figure is probably much higher by now.

Now, we don't know where all those lost dollars went, but I guarantee a lot of it went to unknown technologies, potentially helping contractors like Bigelow on research of unknown materials and tech etc. It would not be unreasonable to think that since WW2 and with the help of all the money only we have had, a new weapon has been in wait.

And think about how quickly WW3 would end if the US showed the world exactly what it is.

Everything that is happening feels orchestrated. And if that is true and things are orchestrated, they are not leading us to global destruction, that would help no one. The ending must have already been written.

P.S. It is also possible that the new weapon could be non-lethal to humans. An enormous EMP that disables an entire country and its military for weeks or months is just as bad as a nuclear bomb, with no direct loss of human life.

The hate towards Russia/Russians begin during the mid 80s/90s.

No older maps printed from just after WW1 have the name Ukraine in it until 1926.

Exactly. The majority of the population until WW1 were still ethnic Russian.

Yeah, but according to some here apparently Russians have only lived in the area of Ukraine for 70 years. Apparently, During the last World Wars when instigators started stoking embers and getting the people that lived there to create a Ukrainian government the Russians magically stopped being Russian and became Ukrainian.

Terror missiles, thats every missile fired in war, as it terrorizes anyone seeing them coming, hearing them coming, and those who survive them.

Do you have the talley of how many ethnic Russians are left and dying by missile strikes outside of the annexed territories?? I cannot itnwoule be that many, if any. the Ukraine state has been marginalizing them, passingn laws against their language and idendity, subject to arrest just for being Russian now at this point. Russians have been Jim Crowed in Ukraine since the government was overthrown in 2014, and are treated as bad or worse as Palestinians in Israel.

So perhaps some have gone quiet and stayed in place, but so many already evacuated towards the annexed territories and motherland . if you have an official talley of what that number is, perhaps your question would be worth answering. You did not present any data though, just an over dramatacized opinionated sound byte.

I am actually curious, because you must have something to levy this statement. Unless you are alleging and agreeing that pretty much most Ukranians are in fact just ethnic russians based on history.

I think we can deduce that the weapon will be EMPs.

Reasoning principally is the efforts the federal govt has taken to secure "certain" infrastructure and "certain" locales.

Those certainly arent anything you or I can lay claim to even though our dollars floated its evolution and implementation.

Just maybe just.

If America/West stops using Ukraine for their interests into expanding the Euporean Union As a Super State. And stops using Ukraine like a bully agaisnt Russia.

Maybe this conflict would have never had even happened.

Russia is holding back on Ukraine.

There are still those who assume Ukraine is winning..

What are the odds that one residential complex with the playground suffered not from being targeted, but simply as a consequence of missle defense intercept?? It happens pretty much every week in Syria, typically to Damascus. They can often intercept a handful of the missiles, but sometimes where the rocket is in flight at point of impact is not in the best place, and innocent families die.

Its war man, # happens. If that playground was an actual target as in the ground zero we wouldnt have even seen those monkey bars. Its still a shame, either way. Some would have us, and yourself, believe that there is a big map with every playground, daycare, nursing home and school with soulless russians frenzied in some drunken stupor barking orders to annhialate them all and see how many children can be murdered for extra points like running over pedestrians in a GTA video game. Fortunately that does not come anywhere close to reality.

I love reading your posts! It is refreshing to hear someone who is actually there to shed light on that part of the upcoming conflict.

IMO, I believe NK will pre-emptive strike SK with a tact nuke, China will launch invasion measures on Taiwan, Iran will tact nuke Israel and Russia will follow suit on Kyiv with a tact nuke, all simultaneously to stretch US backed NATO across the globe and paralyze them in response.

That is how I see the begging of 2023 going down if not during the upcoming US midterm elections less than two months away.

You are from (what I can gather) the closest to that part of the world with boots on the ground. Do you see this as a real possibility or do you have other thoughts on how this will go down?
