I'm glad the medical people didn't bring Queen Windsor back, only to let her die again, like they did my Mother-In-Law this year. She died 3 times over 5 months. Family flew in from all over to say goodbye 3 times.

This double rainbow appeared over Buckingham Palace this evening before the announcement of the Queens death.
Curious coincidence or ...?

My condolences to my UK friends who valued her life, endeavours and longevity.

My Father-in-Law's oldest brother (UK) was so excited when he received a letter on his 100th. birthday from the Queen.

As I said in another thread earlier that its hard to fathom how long she was Queen of England.

Eisenhower was President and Churchill was Prime Minister when she became Queen.

I'm due to work at the Tour of Britain race tomorrow but there's a good chance all major sporting events will be cancelled for the next ten days.

I don't know too many people that will be celebrating Chuck taking power, or his woman of choice.

I'll say one thing. Charles has always loved Camilla. I don't think he ever loved Diana. That was a forced arrangement.
Like him or not, he is loyal to Camilla that's for sure.

Rest in peace dear Elizabeth.

She loved her nation and always put her nation before herself.

She never tried to divide the nation, but always strove to unite the people.

She always gave positive messages of encouragement even in the darkest times.

She did her best to never be partisan or ugly toward anyone on any political side.

A role model that probably will never be repeated again.
