What's the water situation of Mexico? Do they still have that group that looks around for broken cars and helps people? Green Angels or something like that? They give you fuel and a lift to the nearest town to call for help.

Isn't it just Toronto that's socialist? I am not going anywhere NEAR there. 🤮🤮. Montreal I'm unsure of as it seems to be a mix but it's also where a lot of the Covid restrictions are the worst sadly but it has more charm and character then ugly Toronto.

Because of it's remoteness. Canada is far more remote then the USA. It's like Montana being a big providence which Montana has some big cities but are far between each other.

If Montana was a country then you have Canada where it takes forever and a day to get anywhere.

If you are not used to the water and food in Mexico I would avoid it, Canada if you are not used to extreme cold/weather stay away (I am in central alaska now and it takes a weird person to go through weeks of little sunlight) and just go to the cities as I said before you will dimed out.

Anything short of a massive nuke strike on US soil there will be large swathes of the nation that will be untouched thanks to the sheer size of the country.

You could bring in the entire army of several different nations and still not be able to fully hold the US.

I used to go to some cities in the 90s and it was never quite like that unless you specifically went to the 'bad' part of town you could get by with just basic situation awareness and not go out past shopping hours, etc.

In Seattle we went in March of 04 and they told us to not go to certain areas at night I can't remember what they were sadly but we stayed near the Space Needle on a hill north of it to be near a Safeway and it wasn't bad. There were occasional homeless bums panhandling but it wasn't an epidemic like today. If you left them alone they'd leave you alone and it was fun seeing the city back then though I always felt Portland has more charm for older buildings. Seattle back then was tearing old buildings down and making them into this modern look with no character to them.

Seattle back then had a much more 'corporate' look to it but still you didn't have to fear for your life.

I still don't get what you mean by sunlight? Do you mean as in cloud cover? I know days are shorter there but they are also short here in Oregon so no big deal to me just as long as there is more clear weather instead of this constant low cloud/fog that doesn't go away.

To be honest, living in nowheresville Oregon is probably better than leaving the country. Staying below the radar is the best protection. Just dig in where you already are, or find somewhere local that's more rural and build a bug out bunker.

Agree. But not just Oregon. Find the nowheresville in the location you would like to live in. Oregon is beautiful and has a lot of land to stay low on the radar and still have quality of life. But there are many states to choose from. Regardless of which one you call paradise......or home, try to find locations where your privacy is respected and where you actually have privacy, if you can. Otherwise, check the people of the town out and find out how they voted. You can check each county, each election, to get the info you want. Find out about the taxes, political ideology etc.

I'll tell you, there are some beautiful places in Oregon that you can live pretty much how you want. Powers, Coquille and much deeper in those areas are stunning. That's where my family is from and quite honestly, I'm amazed that area isn't flooded with people. Small creeks and other bodies of water everywhere, lush, green with mild winters, good hunting and fishing. The problem is, they are VERY SMALL communities and there isn't a lot of job opportunities.

few weeks ago, we had 22 hours of sunlight (the night is just kind of like dusk), during the winter solstice we will have about 20 hours and 18 mins of darkness. (the daylight will be kind of like dawn)

being this far north, really changes the amount of sunlight you get, lotta folks struggle with depression leading to a fairly high rate of suicide and or drug/alcohol addiction. lotta folks pop vitamin D3 like they were tic tacs, I took 1 when I got up and another before bed.

Well... I think the problem there as I see it according to bible prophecy the "Great Reset" is due in the next 3 years at the outside. The US is supposed to break up 4 ways. And the governments of many nations will fail during this time when the US dollar fails along with the federal government.

The trick is going to survive the breakup and then moving to one of the 4 republics that reflect your political views. A Republican will want to stay far away from the Liberal/Progressive ones. Then roughly around 2029/2030 they're going to roll out the mark. Avoid it as long as possible. But all 4 of the republics will eventually become part of the kingdom of the north and they will want to mark you. It's the 3rd ruler of the north is the one to be worried about. And 30 to 33 is going to suck. The 7 trumpets sound, the seven thunders will happen and then the bowl judgements. Heaven and hell will be at war and earth will be the battleground.

And remember the mark is in the hand and forehead. Also if you do get it remember you can chop off the offending hand and beat getting dammed for eternity that way. Better to enter the kingdom of God deformed than hell in perfect shape. Otherwise let them kill you. It's the golden ticket to heaven that way.

Mark 9
43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

But as of right now I would suggest rural America and have 6 months of survival food saved up. To get past the "Great Reset".

I have often wondered what would happen if the armed citizens of the US decided to form a migrant caravan to some small Central American country that keep sending us its citizens unasked for. Could they take it and remake it? How bad would the US have to be before that started? Would Mexico just let them through?

Ah well ... mental exercise aside.

Canada is farther gone than we are. Why would you think about going there?

and it gets cold there.

There will be nowhere to go.

We're looking at a decades long plan by think tanks and billionaires.

They got all the bases covered. Drones, maps of fresh water sources, infra red night vision, internet history, ip addresses, where your credit cards were last used, information on previous and current residences, addresses of loved ones, cell phone signals, A.I. to track you down, the list goes on.

The only way out is to buy your way in.

Billionaires and multi millionaires only.

There's definitely lots of farms. I've been doing Farm Simulator so it's gotten me an idea what they do and I fully respect them even more now.
Do farms ever let you do tours to see how they operate up close?

Have you grown any plants from seed to maturity? Maybe you have potted house plants you care for?

For as many years as I have been gardening, actually getting out and turning the soil with a garden fork, starting seeds inside or out, getting plants to mature and produce seed and fruit, I learn something new every season.

Farming is of course much different. The scale and the methods are entirely different, but getting your hands dirty in a garden will have you begin to understand the problems you will encounter if you were to try and farm. Then there is live stock. I did chickens for awhile, amazing what those birds taught me.

In a worst case scenario where the country is imploding, I would head for Mexico due to the cost of living being cheaper than Canada. However, in your situation where you are in Oregon, it would be best to head to Canada since it's closer. I would imagine it being harder to fly or drive to Mexico due to lack of fuel or pilots.

If the S has truly HTF...

you aren't going anywhere without a tremendous amount of effort and resources.

Form a collective or a consortium of like minded people who live close by, make a plan, establish comms, train for emergencies.

I don’t know how I’m just finding this thread but as of September 2022 Canada is the most tyrannical place on the planet. I think I’d rather be in a covid camp in Australia than living in Canada.
