For the Boomer years the birth rates per 1000 was mid 25, after the Boomer years it dropped into the teens with it in low teens today.

The reason people talk the way they do has very little to do with past culture's dialects when we are talking many generations removed and more to do with a massive failure of our education system, and things like Ebonics of today is a direct product of that with groups of people on a very large scale. The same could be said for Appalachia too. The difference is Appalachia is a hell of a lot more isolated and remote to feed their dialect more compared to the Black culture that uses more of a Ebonics base language who live much closer or in what we call modern areas like large cities. I'm sure though in both cases the school systems are dismal.

Well the reality is no matter who talked that way if they did that in an interview with me I would not hire them, so where does any of that get you in life? I remember years ago an Air Force Chief, who was Black, started a speech to a group of 500 people basically talking in some kind of Ebonics/uneducated draw for like the first 4 mins and people were looking very uncomfortable. He then switched to a very elegant form of English and said that was all before he was educated.

With that said I do not think even Black people see their cultural styles such as Ebonics, ghetto talk, gang culture etc. or whatever as anything that demonstrates a level of intelligence and education other than a level of coolness.

That's hard to argue against.

I think at least part of it is staged. Stories like this highlight the need for reform in the inner cities, which happen to also be primarily populated by black/brown folk. If someone can turn that argument from trying to help these folk to get back on track to an argument over racism, they have just stopped any such reform from happening. And that, in turn, keeps those people from rising up to a better life.

So I ask the room again: who is the real racist? The one who highlights the problem, or the one who tries to sweep it under a rug made of cries of "racist!"

I need to argue one point with that. I haven't had much experience with people from the PNW, but I have had one. Seagull moved close to me from there a few years ago, and he is as down-to-earth and sane as anyone I know. We've hung out some together, so I feel comfortable taking up for him.

So I have trouble with that generalization about people in the PNW.

A patterdale has one of the weakest bites at around 200 with an average weight of 12 to 14 pounds, why are you making things up? They are also ranked at 230ish in popularity, nobody uses these hamsters for hunting dangerous game.

Actually it's a jab at these parents who claim they have great kids, but don't, and say their kids didn't do anything wrong. Doesn't matter the color.

Either way, this 14 year old girl had a bad group of friends OR she was a bad influence on them. That's usually directly because of the parents.
