An unprecedented number of billionaires have been added during the pandemic, including in the pharmaceutical sector. That said Oxfam director Gabriela Bucher at the World Economic Forum in the presence of Moderna boss Stephane Bancel. “Because corona is one of the most profitable products ever.” Oxfam has published a report on this: 'Profiting from pain'. More than 60 new billionaires have been added to the food sector during the corona pandemic while extreme hunger has increased worldwide.

Oxfam estimates that an additional 263 million people will end up in extreme poverty this year compared to the pre-pandemic period. Extreme increases in food and energy prices are increasing the wealth of billionaires in these sectors by $600 million a day. During the pandemic, a billionaire was added every 30 hours, and by 2022, a million people will find themselves in extreme poverty every 30 hours, Bucher said.

They profit while we the world suffer. It's all out there, in the open. I thought the jabs where the products, cohona is the product they are selling.

Cohona? Kahuna? Cojones? JK I know what it's supposed to say, but that typo was lol or should I say SETNAS (sharp exhale through nostrils and a smirk)

On topic, this isn't news. They're just more honest now because it's obvious there are no repercussions coming to those who exploited and profited from a national crisis. Capitalism at its finest.

Both Republicans and Democrats made huge profits from Covid19.

As the pandemic raged, at least 75 lawmakers bought and sold stock in companies that make COVID-19 vaccines, treatments, and tests.
But Yarmuth, like most members of Congress, has not placed his assets in what's known as a "qualified blind trust" — a formal arrangement, requiring congressional approval, in which a lawmaker transfers management of their assets to an independent trustee.

Qualified blind trusts can be expensive and time-consuming to establish, but congressional guidance suggests they provide the "most comprehensive approach" to avoiding "potential conflicts of interest or the appearance of such conflicts."

Once again, 'laws for thee but not for me'. Not only do they all get away with insider trading, they exempt themselves from the harm they cause, like ACA and vaccine mandates. Losers; all of them!

COVID was the perfect catalyst to rip America apart from the inside out. Operation Warp Speed was an obvious government/corporate/pharma con job used to push an experimental drug on the population which would OBVIOUSLY cause tension between both brainwashed sides of the political spectrum.

Funny how most of Trump's supporters are against the vaccine yet completely ignore the fact that Trump is the one who authorized its rushed release and called it "one of the greatest achievements of mankind". That doesn't make his supporters question him at all for some reason. They question anyone who pushes it now but not the one who started that trend.

Human psychology is interesting.

"Look... CAPITALISM!!!", say the right-wing Americans conspiracy theorists.

I think that although it would be nice with everyone all having the same amount of stuff (wealth) and all, in practice, there have been some horrendous persecutions of humanity done by taking anti-capitalism to its extreme.

Somewhere, there must be middle ground?

Problem is that the plandemic was planned and there's evidence of the corona 'vaccine' being patented in October 2015.
So there should be repercussions as this is so overwhelmingly criminal

I've noticed Trump pushing the 'vaccine'. I was never 'republican' more libertarian.
I for one realize the use the left vs right divide to 'divide and conquer'

Are you unfamiliar with taxation?

Taxes should be used to better your own country. Better railways, roads, better everything for the country where the taxes are paid.

Taxes should not be thrown into some bottomless money pit in some #hole country.

Can’t you see the corruption and shear criminality in this by now, or is the cognitive dissonance so strong you can’t face it?

That's not true at all. Of course everyone knows he launched Operation Warp Speed, some of his supporters believe in it and a great deal of them do not. When was the last time you agreed with every single thing a politician you support did? Doesn't prevent me from agreeing with his other policies.

For me to blindly agree and follow whatever my party or my group says, I would have to be a democrat.

That would take away a huge chunk of our overinflated military budget. I like your idea.

So the supporters who do not agree with the vaccine should acknowledge that he is the one who kicked off the push for one and have the big pharmaceutical companies to do what they want. He gave them (big pharma) that power!

He called the vaccine "one of the greatest achievements of mankind", the same drug that a lot of Trump's supporters are against because it is supposedly killing people.

Personally, I refuse to get the vaccine because I don't trust it. It was rushed and I usually don't trust things that the government pushes. I see Trump's role in its creation crystal clear. Why does Trump love the vaccine when most of his supporters are against it and some even think it's evil?

What are we supposed to do, hold a press conference? If we're asked, we tell you how we feel. If you're expecting more than that I don't know what to tell you.

Taxes usually are used in the country against which they are levied. You are arguing that what happens is not happening. My post was a response to a previous post. Please read what that previous post was saying, as a clue to what my reply meant.

I see the potential for corruption and criminality, but apart from allegation, I don't see a lot of action on the legal and policing side to prosecute any actual, fully evidenced, criminality.

There in recent years has been a particular push in US politics to run campaigns based entirely on allegations. Elections are being won and lost over issues that are manufactured fictions and news reporting, which once reported facts based upon evidence, are now empaneled groups of mouthpieces spouting their particular opinions.

In that environment, taking a side, especially when we know that almost nothing either side says is proven fact, is only adding to the morass of baseless opinion.

This is why being 'centrist', and skeptical of what everyone on any outlying extreme says, is a more rational approach.

Hold him accountable for his role in this whole # storm instead of groveling at his feet. He authorized big pharma to rush out this experimental drug and then praised it. If the vaccine is a giant scam then Trump is the one who put it in motion.

You would think that him giving big pharma that much power would make ALL of his supporters second guess their opinion of him. Guess not.

Like I said, human psychology is very interesting. Trump's supporters who are also against the vaccine are a living example of the sunk-cost fallacy.

Trump was adamant that getting the vaccine was a personal choice. He wasn't mandating it for anybody. The mandates started after the dems stole the election.
Right or wrong, he still supported freedom of choice.
