Sure looks that way - corruption is rampant in the USA. What a terrible end to the dream of so many, including my own family who immigrated from Russia.

The way things are. The media outlets like express don't want to report the corruption is rampant in the USA they want to focus on countries like Russia or China.

Usually concerts like these are western funded or western back.

The media outlets like express should more concerned of possible revolts in Europe and elsewhere in Western countries when it comes to the living costs.

Which had been caused by the sanctions.

Yeah , Your Right . Russians should just go and Surrender to the Fascists Led Ukrainian Government Right Now . GTFOOH ......

Eventually, that's exactly what will happen. Just remember who initiated the war - the Russians. Russians in the Ukraine could always go back to Russia - they have passports and are welcomed with open arms. If they choose to stay in the Ukraine then that's their problem. My cousins all have Russian passports. They identify as Russians. But that was their choice. No one forced it upon them.

Ukraine is a corrupt country. No doubt about it. Ukraine failed several times to enter NATO and the EU. But Zelensky has Biden by the balls - he can call the Oval Office any Monday morning and demand more money or else Zelensky spills the beans on the Biden criminal enterprise which operated in the Ukraine.

Russians need to stand up TO their government before the entire country collapses into a catastrophe.

You really should know better than that. Russia was constantly provoked by the very corrupt Ukraine leaders, and the United States very corrupt leadership.

Whether it was right or wrong at this point is irrelevant. It was inevitable based on the criminal and illegal programs sponsored and funded by the very corrupt USA leadership that this would have to happen. And even after all of this you still can't see the forest for the trees, just like the puppets at CNN, CBS, NBC, FOX, the liars at the Associated Press, and our leaders on parliament hill. Not to even mention the jokes of the CIA , state department, and the NSA's involvement in making it all happen to where the world is today.

All of those above have constantly proven themselves as the BIGGEST LIARS and HYPOCRITES almost to unimaginable levels.

So the big bad bear can't handle prodding by other countries. What a joke. Whatever the Ukrainians were doing with help from the US and others was irrelevant. The big boys are (or were) the Russians. It's like kids bullying other kids - the smart ones ignore it and move on. The Russians got mad. Now they're trying to get even. Colossal failure.

Russia was doing just fine before Putin got a bug up his ass to invade the Ukraine. Exactly the same mistake as 1939 when the Soviets took over Eastern European countries. At least he's reading history. Too bad he never learned anything from it.

A strong country would snub their nose at the antics of the Ukrainians and whoever was supporting them. The Ukrainians should have just handed over the Donbas and the republics to the Russians. Why? Because they are Russian! And I have no doubt that the Americans egged them on.

But Putin decided to orchestrate a 1940's style invasion - and is losing his ass. At the end of the day, the Russians have proven beyond any reasonable doubt that they are a paper tiger.

That has often been the case when Russia initiated a war.

The other side of the coin is that the Russians get much better organized when their own homeland is invaded. Not that I want to see Russia invaded (again).

A Russian solution to Putin's government that doesn't involve a civil war would be the best outcome for everyone.

I think, long term, Russia could have put various forms of pressure on Ukraine short of war to achieve many of their goals. But something made Putin believe that he was out of time. Thus, as you write, the 1940-style war.

Cheers

Well, I hope you will be happy when the Nukes start detonating. A good deluge is what people are hoping for. With the way this is being handled by all the spoiled children, everyone is losing their collective asses.

Yes, that's it.

Putin is out of time - personally. He's down for the count and he knows it. From being an admired world leader, he's become a pariah. I don't have a clue what happened to him.

Best book about the fall of the Soviet Union and Putin's role: Lenin's Tomb by David Remnick. Remnick is a professor at New York University. In it he describes Putin's role in pulling what was left of the country together, organizing a Berlin airlift-like operation to feed people, getting the country on track to become a world power. The guy is one of the most remarkable leaders in history. At that time the United States and the CIA were all over Russia trying to make it into a puppet state. It was Putin who put a stop to it.

Whatever happened to him is also happening to Russia. Destroying a nation because someone polked him the wrong way. What a tragic shame.

Wrong. A lot of people are to blame for this progressing to where it now resides. Adding a thousand more wrongs on top of Putin's big wrong, isn't making a positive thing for the world.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that Russia is losing the war. You don't have to read the media either. The fact is they've been at it since MARCH. And this is MAY. It's a no-brainer that Russia is incapable of winning the war, any war for that matter, notwithstanding their nuclear capability.

Just remember who initiated the war - the Russians.

Thank you.

Yes -- this is an uncalled for and unnecessary INVASION of a neighboring country.

Let's not let that get lost in the personal drama opinions.

Russia INVADED Ukraine.

You are missing a key point here: Ukraine initiated the acts that led to the invasion.

This war did not start in Feb of 2022. It started in Feb of 2021 when Ukraine shut down the television stations of the opposition party effectively silencing their political opponents. They did so at the urging of the US embassy under direction of the biden administration. They followed up by seizing the assets, again at the urging of the Us embassy, of viktor medvedchuk, the leader of the opposition party, and long time friend of putin. Among his assets, and most importantly, was a pipeline that carried Russian oil to Europe. These two moves silenced the opposition party and effectively sanctioned Russian oil. Within 24 hours of the seizure of assets Russia began massing troops on the Ukraine border. Russia tried for diplomatic solution to this issue for a full year before actually invading.

Ukraine is as crooked as the day is long and biden is neck deep in the corruption. biden urged Ukraine to poke the bear, then stood aside and let them take it full in the face when the bear responded. The only interest biden has in sending federal tax dollars to Ukraine is the percentage that will be returned to him via hunter and his position at burisma. Some people think that Ukraine has biden by the balls but lets not forget that when hunter was being investigated by Ukraine for corruption it was biden who threatened to withhold billions of federal aid money if they didn't fire the investigator. He bragged about it in a televised interview ffs. Threatening to withhold federal aid in exchange for a personal favor by a foreign nation is about as corrupt an example of pay for play could ever be.

So, what a sovereign nation did inside their own borders is cause for Putin to invade because one of those people was his pal?

Can you please give me an explanation why Russia had to invade Ukraine? What was the rationale? Because Ukraine and their helpers were poking the big bear in the ass? Is that Russia's excuse?
So what if the Ukrainians were lining up armaments pointed at Russia? It's the one who fires the first shot who's to blame.
It was a provocation and a temptation. An empty threat. And Putin bit right in, hook, line and sinker. He won't live long enough to regret it I'm afraid.

And I agree with you 100% about the Biden administration. Totally corrupt. They wanted this war. It's their "thing" now - their raison d'etre. Or at least it was supposed to be. Biden looks like the imbecile that he is. Zelensky blackmailing him every Monday morning.

Russia will be back in the stone age of Communism in a heartbeat. The people are waking up. It will be the Kremlin vs the people. But this time it will be different. Russians won't put up with a crackdown.
It will be bloody and many will die. But Russians are learning from the Ukrainians that it is possible to fight and win.

I love my native country, but the whole government has to go.

The citizens of many countries are feeling the same way. The US is as close to the boiling point as I've ever seen in my 7+ decades.
I think the only way for countries to stop internal wars from happening is to sift the focus to a much greater external enemy. Our media has been doing a bang-up job on that front.

I don't want to go to war with vegetarians or Vegans.

That is a pretty extreme oversimplification of the event.

Medvedchuk is the voice of Russian interests in Ukraine, which has a huge Russian population. Seizure of the pipeline had the same effect as sanctioning Russian oil.

What would happen in the US if one party effectively silenced the other, then seized assets of their leaders which had a big impact on their financial wellbeing? And what would happen if it were discovered that this happened at the urging of an outside party traditionally considered an opposing entity?

The fact that medvedchuk is a personal friend of Putin is about the least important part of this whole thing. Its no wonder that is what you chose to focus on.

Good, then hopefully you can easily explain it.

Would that give Canada or Mexico the right to invade? How about China? Or any other country.

Guess my hope for you was misplaced.

It's happening as we speak. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the U.S. is on exactly the same track. Question is: Who's the "outside party". I think we're looking right at it but choose not to see it.

Russia was protecting its financial viability in the energy market. Russia wanted all the Ukraine pipelines. Instead of getting more they lost one of the biggest they had. That put a hurt on them.

It was Russia who started massing troops on the border first. There has been speculation that WWIII could happen if any more countries bordering Russia join NATO. Russia doesn't like enemies within striking distance. Well, neither does Ukraine. And when Russia started massing troops on the border the course was pretty much set. One year later it happened.

I want to make it clear, I am not pro-Russia on this. But I am not pro-Ukraine and definitely not pro-biden. I think both Russia and Ukraine played a part in setting up this war, and I believe it was orchestrated by the biden administration for the purpose of furthering his criminal enterprise.
