"We want to stop the war that Russia has launched in Ukraine without escalation -- that's the objective," Macron said on France 3 TV, noting the objective was to obtain a cease fire and the withdrawal of troops through diplomatic means.
"If this is what we want to do, we should not escalate things -- neither with words nor actions," he said.
"Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f*** things up."

"I wouldn't use this type of wording because I continue to hold discussions with President Putin," Macron said on France 3 TV channel.

Screw the midget, he's playing passive aggressive because he's up for re-election.
The fact that he still uses accusing words like "that Russia has launched" fails imo if there is talk of sitting down and negotiating a ceasefire. Especially after responding to what Biddy Biden said...

Stating who started what is childish and pointing a finger won't earn him any kudos with Putin.
Macrons ego, like most little men, will always be a chip on the shoulder that is there for life me thinks. He needs to learn some humility.
As for a regime change Russia isn't Libya, and Biden sounds like an inept fool calling for one. Even an internal coup could cost thousands of lives, with no guarantee of success.

Biden’s reckless stupidity, ineptitude and brinksmanship will surely isolate the US on the world stage. I hear the Saudis aren’t taking his calls. They must really be regretting their DNC donation.

Macron is hallucinating if he believes Russia will ever agree to a ceasefire.
And his not showing solidarity with the other NATO nations isn't going to earn him the brownie points he thinks it will.
Putin's ego is fractured, and he has no way to save face here as Ukraine will not give him another inch of their land. Nor should they. No appeasement. No concession.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with Russian media Sunday in an attempt to express a path toward peace by making clear the conditions necessary to begin negotiations toward a “meaningful agreement,” but was reportedly censored by state media after disputing Russia’s claimed purpose of “denazification.”
Zelenskyy was interviewed by representatives from Zygar, Rain, Meduza, Kommersant and Novaya Gazeta where he discussed the need for security guarantees from Russian President Vladimir Putin. The president’s office detailed the exchange which addressed a willingness to remain neutral rather than seek NATO membership and to continue Ukraine’s nuclear-free status.
UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The United Nations chief launched an initiative Monday to immediately explore possible arrangements for “a humanitarian cease-fire in Ukraine” in order to allow the delivery of desperately needed aid and pave the way for serious political negotiations to end the month-long war.
Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he used his “good offices” and asked Undersecretary-General Martin Griffiths, the head of the U.N.’s worldwide humanitarian operations, to explore the possibility of a cease-fire with Russia and Ukraine. He said Griffiths has already made some contacts.
“I hope that he will be able to go to both Moscow and Kyiv as soon as that becomes possible,” Guterres said. “It’s very important to establish a serious dialogue with both parties in relation to the possibility of this humanitarian cease-fire.”

Russia will agree to a ceasefire once Ukraine has been liberated.
Russia is no longer requesting Ukraine be “denazified” and is prepared to let Kyiv join the European Union if it remains military non-aligned as part of ongoing ceasefire negotiations, according to four people briefed on the discussions.
Moscow and Kyiv are discussing a pause in hostilities as part of a possible deal that would involve Ukraine abandoning its drive for Nato membership in exchange for security guarantees and the prospect to join the EU, the people said under the condition of anonymity because the matter is not yet finalised. The draft ceasefire document does not contain any discussion of three of Russia’s initial core demands — “denazification”, “demilitarisation”, and legal protection for the Russian language in Ukraine — the people added.

I like Macron more today than yesterday.
