I think a lot of us feel this way. I can't say any specifics or this comment will get deleted.

I am a member in good standing at DU. Is it cheating? Perhaps a little. 😁

But I like to see what kinds of things are kicking around over there from time to time. I can't stand most of the things people say, but occasionally something interesting happens. On ATS, people are usually a lot more open minded so it is nice to get away from echo chambers and talk to some people who don't believe the past or future is settled business.

Ha ha....I had a post deleted in an incredibly short period of time after the site was up and running.
Can't even recall what I posted, wasn't bothered....it was just good to be back.

I too ventured to the other place that shall remain nameless and liked it there.
Very relaxed and welcoming.

But ATS is ATS.

I've done a lot of drinking over the years in pubs and I've always sort of had a local; one specific pub where I did most of my drinking.
But I've liked to have a wander about and have a few in other pubs.
Made some great mates and had some fantastic times....but my local was always my local.

I, too, participate in another site, which is a very liberal mom's group, I am.not liberal, but I have somehow managed to stay with them. I come on here to escape their insanity. I like being with like minded people, so when ATS was down I was like okay, Itried everyday to log on then gave up and tried again and it worked. I thought I was banned or it was blocked somehow. Never thought it would be taken over.

A few years ago when we thought ATS was going to die and a few of us went there, they put us ALL on rotating banners.

It was like a flashing LED sign for the sleaziest place not on the Las Vegas strip.
