Several vials labeled “smallpox” have been found at a vaccine research facility in Pennsylvania, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.
“There is no indication that anyone has been exposed to the small number of frozen vials,” the CDC said in a statement emailed to CNN.
“The frozen vials labeled ‘Smallpox’ were incidentally discovered by a laboratory worker while cleaning out a freezer in a facility that conducts vaccine research in Pennsylvania. CDC, its Administration partners, and law enforcement are investigating the matter and the vials’ contents appear intact,” the CDC added.
“The laboratory worker who discovered the vials was wearing gloves and a face mask. We will provide further details as they are available.”
Police in rural Pennsylvania are asking residents to look out for monkeys on the loose. A truck carrying about a hundred monkeys to a lab in Florida crashed into a dump truck on Friday and authorities say four monkeys escaped.

Hey, SeaWorthy!!
Were the monkeys carriers of smallpox? If, "Yes." I'd durn sure wonder why they were being transported anywhere at all.
Citing a notification from the state’s department of health, Kelly Cofrancisco, a spokeswoman for the Montgomery County Office of Communications, said there was a total of “15 questionable vials” with five labeled “smallpox” and 10 as “vaccinia.”
Smallpox, an infectious disease caused by the variola virus, caused devastating outbreaks for centuries, with about three of every 10 cases proving fatal, according to the C.D.C.
Soon after her contact with the animals, Fallon developed pink eye and a cough. She has since received treatment, and CDC health officials have told her in a letter to watch for symptoms and notify the Pennsylvania State Department of Health if she becomes ill, reports Michael Tanenbaum for the Philly Voice.
In an email to AP, CDC spokesperson Kristen Norlund said the three escaped monkeys were euthanized by gunshot but did not explain why. The remaining monkeys will be monitored and quarantined for 31 days before their release, per the Philly Voice.

Is this a new one or are they actually talking about the several vials that were found back in October 2021?
I'm lucky to already be vaccinated for smallpox.
That said, I don't think that a smallpox pandemic is scheduled.

Some people would describe Bill Gates (of hell) as being high functioning autistic, I describe him as being a complete c@#t. Plain and simple.
The guy is a psycho. As I noted ages ago in this video his psychosis is jaw dropping. He sees nothing in this world except himself and his wealth, that's it.
He will continue to kill people make no mistake about that, it'd be nice to see an end to those days.
Gates spoke of the need for a World Health Organization task force that could run what he called "germ games," where countries could prepare for bioterror attacks, citing as an example: "What if a bioterrorist brought smallpox to 10 airports."
That interview, coupled with the recent news that vials labeled "smallpox" were found in a Pennsylvania lab several days later, has sparked numerous social media claims suggesting the two are linked.
And all of those monkeys have been already caught. A couple were shot, if I remember right.

How casually Terran people talk about animal murder. If it was human beings, especially females, you would never write it so casually and matter-of-factly, you would be shocked and screaming about injustice and murder and demanding heads will roll.
But animals? Sure, we care about animals, let's just shoot any that we have imprisoned against their will that express yearning to be free. Freedom is only for US, not for THEM..

Then it is most likely the one from last year. That's good news in a way if this wasn't another batch that turned up. If I remember right, the vials were put into the freezer a long time ago and forgotten about.
