“Perfect time to impound and give the trucks to small trucking companies looking to expand their business,” Gallego tweeted in response to the following news headline: “Trucker convoy could shut down DC Beltway tomorrow.”

There was a time in this country, both sides of the aisle would have censured this publicly, but now even Republicans raise little objection to the idea of trampling the rights of citizens and the all-out redistribution of wealth disguised as being for the common good.

At least a few citizens called him out...

Robert Arce, former law enforcement official: “Will your distribution of wealth be done at gunpoint?”

Nick Searcy, actor: “Why don’t you just murder them like a good communist, @RubenGallego?”

Our leftist "friends" are drooling over the possibilities despots like Trudeau are presenting to them, and obviously Mr. Gallego is a "fanboi".

It would be best if this does not turn into a bloodbath. The media will already be painting a narrative in which the convoy are anti-American and insurrectionists. Give them ammo in the form of violence or a shooting of any kind and they will run with it. Any actions taken by Antifa, BLM, etc will be ignored, just as they have been in the recent past.

I beg to differ. there are tons of peoples out there that would love this.

Aside from this being communism is its worst form.

It might do well to remember that the people who drive trucks do so because they want to drive.
The people for whom driving a truck is beneath them, you know, because they are special snowflakes are not going to take those trucks no matter how free they are.
And those trucks have bank liens on them and when you take someone's truck, they stop making the payments, which is not good for the bank.
And then their credit is busted and they can no longer get a loan for another truck which means fewer trucks on the road.
And since our supply chain is already busted is only going to make it worse.

Which simply highlights the fact that our technocrats are not so vert smart, expert, o technically competent and allowing them to make decisions, of any kind, is not a good idea.

You have a point about banks having a lien on some trucks. How hard do you think it would be for the Federal Government to tell the Banks to call in their loans? There's a lot on ATS about the "evil banksters". Those posts usually try to associate them with Republicans. In reality they support the Democrats. How hard would it be for the Federal Government to get the insurance companies to drop coverage on those trucks? Again the insurance companies are in bed with the Democrats. Then there's the matter of CDL licenses.

Right now the Liberal Socialists are desperate. They have started showing their cards and the support that they thought that they would have isn't there. They have exposed themselves for what they are and what their objectives are. For years anyone who spoke out about this was labeled a "conspiracy theorist". That was just a convenient way tell others to ignore them. Now we are finding out that it is reality.

I've noticed that many people who are posting in favor of violence support the Democrats and are just trying to provoke something.

I say it because our Republican representatives as a whole seem to be quite impotent and near silent on many things since the election, aside from some token protestations and a few that are willing to stand up against the neo-marxists permeating our system.
