You sat there and read my thread and thought to yourself, "How dare they have a good time!!!! Should I suffer in silence or let them know how big of a wedgie I have over this meeting of theirs? Yes, I should definitely let them know because it's for the greater good."

And then you did it, but not for the greater good... for yourself.

Fun fact: My first ever ATS thread got 404ed because I gave too much information. I've never been anonymous.

But, I don't complain about people who choose to remain anonymous. I don't look down on them or stomp on their wonder. I respect people's privacy and autonomy. Because I'm a live and let live kind of person. I would never willingly stomp on somebodies wonder and step into the role of the debbie downer all because somebody was trying to have a good time. That crab mentality always hurt my heart.

I wish you well, and I hope you can learn how to have a good time not at the expense of others (as you have done here, at my expense).

That has been my avatar for so long. I don't even know how to change it or make a new one anymore. It's from an old internet cartoon, HomeStar Runner. I couldn't even tell you which one, but figure it out and you'll know about how long that's been in place. 🤣

Missed it by a few years. I might be about the only one from that group that is active here, now that I'm looking at it.

Not exactly Midland, but we were all over. We lived around Detroit and Ann Arbor through college, then did a couple years in the UP for work before coming back to the Detroit area for another three years. About three years ago is when we overcompensated for our UP years by moving to Florida.

We did do a lot of camping, but that was closer to Standish, Davison, and Mount Pleasant because we had an Outdoor Adventures membership for a number of years. Did a lot of state parks too.
