I want to open the forum to see how and if others believe in this passage. Then I will share my beliefs if there is enough response.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

All that was created by the evil one will be destroyed and replaced, Christ has taken charge and The Father is not the God of the Old Testament.

Years ago I read about the very first attempts to split the atom. Those attempts were undertaken back in the around the time of WWII. Anyway, the scientists who were conducting the experiments were not really sure what the results would be when they did it. There were concerns among them that spitting the atom could cause a kind of domino effect or chain reaction where one would split and then bang bang bang, all atoms would split and ""POOF'' everything would just quit existing. That is what I recall reading. As well, I think that there have been concerns along the way since then about other scientific experiments and what the final results along those lines might be.

So who knows. Maybe scientific experiments in the future might rend reality beyond the parameters of the experiment. Maybe the accidental or purposeful creation of a Black Hole that just gobbles up everything in the solar system. Or maybe opening a worm-hole that sucks up all the matter here and puts it all way over there....

But I think that none of that has anything to do with that Bible quote. Most likely Peter or one of the other boys was just trying to scare the crap out of people to get them to join their church.

There could be multiple ways that the scripture in the OP could happen. If something causes an event like that, we will know what it meant.

The "cleansing" is long overdue. It's been prophesized for a long time now, I wonder what the hold up is....

It's written in the planet's,. All you have to do is follow them.. they're a precision time piece. One planet in particular was the most important of all to the ancients..

The Lord operates on divine timing, 3 days/40 days/7 years/40 years/1000 years, and when he died on the cross he rose on the third day so we can see that He will return to us on the third day.

1 day to the Lord is a 1000 years here, so the first day is the first 1000 years to 1027ad, the second day ends 2027, the third day starts after 2027. He will return on the third day so the Day of the Lord is at hand

Hosea 6:2 - After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

I believe in Jesus Christ as My Lord and Savior. I pray for all to come to the knowledge of our Lord and our Father in Heaven before His return. Amen

then the Earth will leave orbit around the present Sun
the huge structure called The New Jerusalem which was also the Millennial Kingdom Throne for the Son-of-Man to reign from....

will be retrofitted by the Angelic Engineers to provide the power source for the drive-Engines on Earth which will cause the Rogue Planet Earth the ability to traverse the Galaxy (AKA; Milky Way)...

You know 2000 years is really not many generations of Man and God does not conform to human time.
I think his plan is not slow at all but we see it that way from our view, what would a butterfly think of our lifespan.
I think many of us would not have learned and turned over a new leaf if we had not had this time. I am grateful!

I actually find no solace in a control mechanism founded on fear rather than salvation. It's more political dogma disguised as religion.
