I never buy Christmas cards at any time of year.

Parliament and the crown rule the U.K.

Along with the House of Commons and the House of Lords the crown is still an integral, and the oldest, part of Parliament.

With ""the crown"" being just another way of referring to our monarchy.

A collection of royals aristocrats and landed gentry pretty much rule over and own most of the land and accompanying rights in the UK.

Point of fact unless you are a freeholder you don't even really own the land on which your home is built and even then if the crown wants it they can take it by legal means, same with whats underneath the land and on the ocean floor.
