I may be showing my age, but do you remember the great comedians of the past ?
Forster Brooks always cracks me up and he even had Dean Martin in tears.
George Burns.
Johnathan Winters.
Red Skelton.
Rodney Dangerfield.
Bob Newhart.
Flip Wilson.
Johnny Carson.
There are so many this would be a much longer thread if I listed them all, but you get the idea.
I like many of the "modern" comics, Ron White can have me almost falling out of my chair, but I do love the classics.
I might be the only person here who knows who Spike Jones was. It used to be a thing to sit around with grandpa and listen to his Spike Jones records
on holidays at the farm.
My parents, for one reason or another, had a whole Spike Jones collection mixed in with their 78s. They introduced me into loving Glenn Miller and
Benny Goodman and the others, but it was their Spike Jones that I gravatated to. By the time I was in high school, I had broken most of them.
My wife's wedding present to me was a a disc of ''Cocktails for Two.''
