What religion is this?

This person says that God is real, but we are not, and that somewhat more or less real beings known as "seraphim" run our governments and take place in some great ear in a "real" reality outside of ours. It sounds like utter BS, but it's a good story. I was wonder if this is an actual religion.

This is quite obviously part of the mindf*ck religion, designed to confuse seekers with information that on long term only instills fear and hopelessness, a sense of despair and general lack of hope in a better world.

However, it probably uses some terms and concepts which hold some truth here and there...

Well, I mean, the big three monotheistic religions were cults until centralized government forced it on their people and then now they're "religions" based on the appeal to numbers of followers.

It is what happens when you have so many translation that no one believes God preserved his words to us as promised (Ps 12:6-7). False teaching/doctrine and heresy which is a false practice put in place based on the false teaching/doctrine will wax worse and worse as we approach the end.

Such as Sprinkling, infant baptism, Christian Tithing, baptism for the dead (Mormon Doctrine), Hold fast to the end etc etc etc.

The theory in the OP is obviously not drawn from any kind of Biblical text, so the "Bible translation" issue is rather beside the point.

I suggest you need to look up the definition of "monomania" and seek advice.
