Only one that comes to mind is Solaris. Russian.

Love the American remake, but the original is good too.

Of course, there is the French "The Fifth Element" and "Valerian."

There are some Korean along with Russian and Japanese where the special effects are absolutely top notch. I thought the Russian movie "Attraction" and the later "Attraction 2" was one of the better Scifi movies I have seen in a long time...youtu.be...

Awesome . that was the one I was trying to remember.

Following the flow of the thread, movie-wise, I forgot to mention the obscure yet entertaining Korean flick Save the Green Planet! and Space Sweepers wasn't bad either.

There's another entertaining one in the form of the Japanese movie Inuyashiki which is based off an anime.

And if you're still struggling for watching materials, go back to the classics, for me all the Quatermass stuff was good, but this one is the ultimate classic, especially if you can find the original mini-series version:

Quatermass and the Pit

My suggestion to you is out of the UK and is called ‘Bad Taste’
