How are the vaccinated protecting others?

Is South Park where you did your research?

I never made a claim that the "vaxxed" are protecting the "unvaxxed".

Although one could make the point that the viral load is going to be way lower with "vaccinated" me.

Not necessarily true.

And because you have only received one shot.....you are considered unvaxed lol.

Data from COVID-19 tests in the United States, the United Kingdom and Singapore are showing that vaccinated people who become infected with Delta SARS-CoV-2 can carry as much virus in their nose as do unvaccinated people. This means that despite the protection offered by vaccines, a proportion of vaccinated people can pass on Delta, possibly aiding its rise.

if the vaxxed have a lower viral load
then why do the vaxxed end up in the hospital?

If the statement were fact, then there would be no vaxxed hospitalized.

Just to say this is not a serious medical thread, but rather a personal experience/recon thread.
Not only on Covid, but also wider related contexts.
At least in my mind.

OK, just to describe it.
Like mainlining poppers, I guess.
Warm and prickly into your arm, with some very alcoholic/chemical sensation.
For a second, but no high and no pain, then just felt queasy for two days.

I know it's for the common good, but mate, if you gave this away for free at a party, I wouldn't come to that party.
Can't they put something nice in it?

They can put a bloody man on the moon, but they can't put anything nice in our vaccines.
It's a crazy world.
Innit?

And there was also something about it that made me want to cry.
Cry?
Yeah, not from pain, but that my personal boundaries had been invaded like that.
A sense of indignation, if you like.
But it feels like a physical sensation thinking back on it now.
At the time it just felt like faint general misery or malaise.
And I was quite happy when I walked in.

WOW, so we live in a civilization that makes chips addictive, but vaccines yucky.

Bon voyage!
