Downing Street now says that vaccine passports remain a crucial part of UK's "winter Covid plan"

UK has no plans to scrap the vaccine passports after all. Its all about the pass now. Is anyone not surprised how everyone in the western countries are now pushing these vax passports while trying to scare people with endless variants?

The last official news from the English government is that the vaxxport was no longer necessary in The England. Twitter posts count for little. YMMV.

Anything more concrete than a tweet from a conspiracy channel on this?

It's plausable and still on the cards but I think we need more than a tweet to say for certain.

This is funny, seem the UK is as screwed up as the U.S. on this covid bs. There have been two threads posted yesterday from real news sources that say they have decided not to go ahead with them.

In Surprising Reversal, England Drops Vaccine Passport Plan

I know sometimes news does get posted on twitter first, but this doesn't seem right. Is there some sort of link besides disclose tv? You know like a real source maybe even two.

If the citizens of United Kingdom are against the forced vaccinations, they should make it clear to their leaders that they will not be re-elected.

Yet you claim the UK has no plans to scrap the vaccine passport?

That's not what it actually says is it.

It's just you trying to make things something they are not.

As it stands they are not going ahead but they are not saying they are completely ruling out the option in the future.

It's a non story as it stands.

The UK at present is restriction free as far as covid measures and vaccine mandates go.

Where is "Downing Street" saying any of that?

Stop making stuff up.

Come again?

What's this for to do with forced vaccines?

The UK is over 80 percent fully vacinated in over 16s and rising. There's nothing in our current laws that would allow mandatory vaccinations of the general public even if they wanted to but it's not even something that's been discussed or suggested??

This is about a proposed vaccine passport for going to nightclubs and even that's now been scrapped as it's not wanted or needed.

The general rule of thumb is that if it comes out the likes of Boris puss its a discombobulated lie.

The cockwomble has asbestos y-fronts.

"Crucial part" or "option"? Bit of a difference and where is your Downing Street source for the former?

A tweet on a conspiracy site is not a Downing Street source.

Why do you pretend otherwise?

I can tell you know that what's been said is that they are not going ahead but not ruling them out all together.

Basically it's not happening but if the # hits the fan and things get really bad at some point in the future they may come into action and by stating that people can't say they are going back on their word.

It's highly unlikely as logistically it's a nightmare.

It's far more likely they would just shut them down again for a few months.

The key is politics. Downing Street is trying to placate at least two political view-points at the same time.
On the one hand, the working class want their pubs and music venues, so they must be re-assured.
On the other hand, the middle-class establishment, which is now the home of political correctness, will only approve of Boris to the extent that he is "cautious", so they need to be placated as well.
Which group is being lied to? The second, I suspect.
It's a mistake to try to explain these things in terms of the mysterious workings of a single monolithic elite. The elites are multiple, and they're not consistently working together.

We had the TRNSMT Festival over the weekend here.

Be interesting see how that gathering effects the figures in a couple of weeks up here.

Considering public transport to and from the event was a bit of a joke and a lot of the younger crowd will have been unvaccinated.

Well, if you claim, as you do in your OP, that Downing Street says this and cite a non Downing Street source from Twitter it's really up to you to back it up.

Otherwise, you are just posting noise.

My mates did all the waste management for that.

You'll see a bit of a spike I imagine but nothing compared to the kids going back to school.
