I'm suspended from twitter

I'm suspended from twitter "again" for promoting self harm.

I follow a few people and a few news outlets on Twitter.
Apparently saying "he should take a long walk off a short pier" was encouraging self harm. The comment wasn't even directed at the person in question.

My first suspension was over a comment was something like,
(I don't remember the exact words)
"He should take a knee to the ball's instead of watching that movie"
Again... Promoting self harm.

I get the whole suicide prevention thing and stopping bully's.
But good God....
Those comments were about as dangerous as that kids pop tart gun.

Comparing people to Hitler is fine
Saying let the unvaccinated die is fine.

Funny thing is that my posts were probably reported by someone.. that's pretty sad.
Oh well. One less distraction

There's your problem. They think you're supporting self harm, when all you had to do is be like BLM and ANITFA and support harming everyone else. They don't seem to mind that.

Most I did with Twitter was send Trump some memes I made. I closed the account and deleted it the same day I did Facebook. They are toxic environments and would rather stifle discussion and opinions than promote it.

I've seen people here complain about the toxic environment and I just shake my head. Twitter is ten times more toxic than ATS.

Sounds like me and FB lol I am constantly getting banned on FB for 30 days at a time. I don't get a day or two, instant 30.

The most recent one I got a 30 day ban for was I said "I love my Sagittarius, even when I want to strangle him." They dinged me saying I was promoting VIOLENCE and banned me. I laughed so hard. It is ridiculous. I have another account I use but it too gets dinged. I say things they don't like apparently.

We try to keep the mud in the pit. That way people can avoid it unless they don’t want to avoid it.

I mean, you don’t have to watch the Trinity Broadcast Network on your TV (especially now in the digital signal age because their footprint shrank significantly). But there is really no reason to complain...unless you don’t get H&I and can’t watch an episode of Star Trek from five different shows (TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT) every weeknight...grrr.

But the T&C’s here are pretty simple and distill down to “Don’t be a #”

Twitter isn't the echo chamber that you are used to.

You are used to being in the ATS safe bubble where theres safefty in spamming memes when someone posts who doesn't Heil Trump.

Then you enter the real world and get upset its so toxic. ATS is not a reflection of a cross section of America/World, its mainly a soapbox for Trump supporters and Russian bots to spew fear.

Hidden amongst it are(were) some great non-political posts.
