I'm more of a direct-approach guy, but if these Trucker slowdowns work, without hurting the "little guy" the results would be delightful.

i once read an obscure novel, and it was just such a truckers strike that caused the chain of events that in the end turned the US into a soviet styled, communist country. and with as far left as Australia has become, such a thing is not much of an unrealistic possibility.

such a strike could easily, and quickly necessitate the implementation of marshal law. with many people actually calling for it. especially people in cities. which would likely turn into nationalizing all food and transport industries in order to ensure that needed things like food and other necessities make it to all those people. in the cities if such things are not done, there would be complete chaos. and being in rural areas would not help, because those areas would almost immediately be put under government control to provide food for the cities. you could easily see what happened in the communist soviet union, with their farming areas. where everyone in such areas (except for government officials and their families), are forced to produce food for the cities. while being left with not enough food for themselves.

The big guys own the big shopping centers and grocery stores so I assume they to will feel the squeeze as will the government from all the lost revenue . So what is your opinion... Obey and be done with it... act like nothing is happening... Maybe nothing is happening to you but others seem to think they have had enough.

A society may know their government is rotten to the core but if they find themselves in a position of tolerable existence things will continue until the laws start picking favorites; then all it takes is for a spark to bring the whole thing down. A government can only survive as long as the governed think they have a voice in the way they are being governed and all are equal under the law unless it is a totalitarian or communist system. Hummm

They did it before a while ago back in the seventies I think, the Government gave in quite quickly.

If the truckers do go on strike and block the road, watch the government with the media help run fake stories about truckers blocking ambulances to try and sway public support.

All you Auzzie truckers need to claim your British citizenship and come back home to the UK. We got a shortage of like 100 thousand drivers and the supermarkets etc are offering insane bonuses. McDonalds ran out of milkshakes nationwide the other day and that's just one example why we need you back
