Si può fare a meno di tutto. Purchè non si debba.

One can miss out on everything, If one isn't forced.

I think I'd eat anything you cook.

All you Goombah wannabe's can kiss my...Italian ass!!!

Goombah's, all of ya dego lovers and pizza haters!!!

What an intolerant POS, nice racial slur.

Modern day pizza is from Italy you goof, the idea came from herbed flatbread that the Egyptian and Romans would eat.

You know nothing about food!

Maybe not but it's where you can eat the best pizza in the world, considered by locals a "regular" pizza.

If you ever wanna try a really unique way of heating up leftover pizza coat the top in Parmesan with a tiny and I mean tiny bit of oil and fry it cheese side down crust facing up obviously (backwards I know) but you develop this fried cheesy crust when it’s warmed up that will have you looking forward to leftover pizza every time

You had me right up until the 'nutmeg' part! I absolutely can NOT stand nutmeg! The rest of it sounds good though! I guess I could just leave the nutmeg out. I LOVE spinach!

The reason I don't like nutmeg is because of an experience I had with it over in Asia one time. These Malaysian gals who worked in our office were all giggling over some treat they'd gotten. I went over and asked them what they were all giggling about and one of them handed me a piece of it and said to try it. It was about the size of a lemon wedge, so I popped the whole thing in my mouth and started chewing. Their eyes all got real big and they were all staring at me. I'd just eaten a whole section of the nutmeg fruit! My entire body just wretched and I about passed out before I could spit it out! The most unbelievably intense nutmeg punch to the face I could possibly imagine!! And it didn't go away either.

Then I started getting really dizzy and light headed, not feeling well at all. I hadn't swallowed any of it, but I'd gotten enough of the effects. I was ill for the rest of the day. I didn't know it then, but nutmeg is actually toxic to the human body in large quantities.

Now I can't even smell nutmeg without feeling like I'm going to throw up.

You felt the effects that quick???

Lies, it takes about 3 hours for it to take hold of you not right away.

🤣

Tell us another one.

Not trying to defend him but it depends on the person. When I got sleeping aid because of back pain issues, they said to me it takes half an hour. I took it and had to scramble to bed because after five minutes I would be groggy.

Some people are very sensitive to drugs, medication and other things.

It's Hell so it's probably both a dry and humid heat simultaneously.

No worries, I packed us both some SPF 1,000,000.

I figured you didn't based on previous conversations but I did date this girl who's mom did that. She said it made it easier to eat.

I broke up with that girl the next day.

That's strange because it's actually easier to eat them with fork and spoon if you're not a two year old.

If you cut them you need to go the whole ten yards (love that movie) and shred them, this is a disaster.

Even my daughter does it that way since she can work the fork and spoon on it. It's a complete different eating experience.

Speaking of pizza, you should have seen my friends the first time they had pizza in Italy and it came uncut with a pair of shears on the side.

lol is that a thing? I know it's uncut and depending on the region, you might just get slices of bread with mozzarella and tomato on top, when you order a pizza.

Don't understand me wrong, I think I told you once but it was with the Oleandra account (that I lost). I do have roots in Italy and we have a treasure trove of Italian recipes and techniques but I was in Italy exactly three times. Two times as a kid and one time on vacation in Calabria (:love
.

I also loved the sight of Stromboli in the evening sun, the golden hour.

So my knowledge about the original culture is only based on what I know from my family, tellings and visits. I don't speak Italian but I understand some words and know some sayings and do-not's.

I don't want to make the impression I am living there or have spent plenty of time, I love the country though and the mindset and energy, food culture and family values. I've been planning to show my daughter but COVID...
